Writer’s Retreat. Secluded Waterfront Bras d’Or Lake, Cape Breton
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful one week stay in July. The home is stocked with everything you could need, plus lots of labeled extra supplies. I found the home very clean and very organized, which I love. Saw many fox and deer right out front and back, which was such a treat. Its a pleasant stroll down to the lake, and a nice long shore to walk on (rocky, for those with mobility issues). St. Peter's is the closest small town (20 min) which has some of the necessities. Walking or biking along the historic locks there, and the adjoining Coastal Trail, is a pleasant local activity. The home is a great place to relax and unwind. It is about 1.5 hours from the start of the Cabot Trail, which itself is hours long. Just something to note if that is your primary reason for visiting Cape Breton. My favorite spots on my trip was the Groovy Goat Farm on the Cabot Trail, and Donelda's Puffin boat tour."

"Charmante maison tout près d'une plage de galets. Il y a des sentiers de 4-roues à proximité pour se promener sur des falaises et des plages.
Communication simple avec l'hôte."
"The room wasn’t the cleanest - there was popcorn and cheesies under our bedroom table. The floor throughout was dirty. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. The community has a great selection when it comes to dining out and fast-food places. The lakes and ocean views are breathtaking."
The Nature Dream House, Vacation home on Bras d'Or Lake, Cape Breton Island
10/10 Excellent
"The property was lovely, with all the right amenities. It was a short walk to the pebble beach which felt like a private beach since it was so quiet. We had a wonderful vacation and able to explore all the places we wanted to see. Thank you!"
Magnificent location with views of Bras d'Or Lake - Exclusive vacation home with 75 sqm
10/10 Excellent
"Remote beautifully secluded mountain cabin with gorgeous views! The cabin is beautiful! Full of light! Very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed and more! The well-stocked kitchen was a delight to cook in. The unobstructed view of the lake from the deck is beautiful! A perfect spot to enjoy the absolute sound of silence, gorgeous sunsets and fabulous night skies! As expected due to the location up the mountain, it is helpful to have a higher clearance vehicle like an suv rather than a sedan.Thank you Leon, for opening up your beautiful home to us! It is exactly what we were looking for!"
