“We had a wonderful time at the cabin for our anniversary. The location wasn't quite as remote as I anticipated but still very quiet and beautiful. We especially liked all the deer walking around. And of course the hot tub!”

“Nelson base camp is unique in its layout, lots of history displayed throughout. Host provided comforts for us, including the wood ready for the fire, hot tub with plenty of towels. We rally enjoyed our stay!”

“This is a beautiful cabin perfect for a weekend getaway for two and we enjoyed waking up to deer right outside the bedroom window. The cabin was perfect as home base after a day of hiking the trails at Mt Rainier and it has everything you need. Would love to return some day!”

“This is an easy place to stay with lots of friends, including couples. The access to Mt. Rainier is fabulous. My only complaint is that the hot tub had not been cleaned when we arrived. It was cleaned the next day and took awhile to heat up and for the water to settle.”

We only had a few notes on things like cleanliness and broken furniture (an easy fix if there would have been basic tools available). Dogs are welcome here, which is wonderful, but there was quite a lot of dog hair present in one of the beds, which made us feel like the sheets weren't changed. We just did that ourselves. The fridge/freezer also had dog hair in it (which wasn't very clean besides the dog hair). The……

“My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Owl's Nest for our anniversary get away. It's ideally located for access to Rainier, especially in the winter months when other gates are closed. The spot is modest, but accurate with listing details. We were a bit concerned about privacy since you can tell the listing is above another space, but it is just an empty barn/garage, so that's ended up being no concern. There are two other listings on property that weren't inhabited during our stay,……

“A very clean and new house in a quiet forested neighborhood. There was a good walking/running trail system just a block away.”

“This sweet place is a perfect getaway! From the pool/ping pong table to karaoke it was a fabulous getaway for our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone and all the necessities we needed were there! Though we didn't have snow, we made the best out of our time!”

“The description did not clearly state that there was a wood burning firepit with access to chairs on site....we would have brought wood saving the $50 of spending money on wood at a local gas station. Also the power went out for over 7 hours . There were 4 mini lanterns, only one had batteries....made early morning rough to see bathroom. We tried to cook on barbecue as there are not many amenities in that area to utilize.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here! Everything was cozy and clean and very close to MRNP!! We did a lot of snowshoeing and hiking to get away from our busy lives! We enjoyed the hot tub very much. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the BBQ grill every night and enjoyed watching Netflix on the big screen TV. We will definitely be coming back!”

“Love this little motel. Clean and convenient. They have nice one cup Keurig machines and microwaves. I grew up under the mountain and support my hometown whenever I can. So I need a place to stay. It’s close to a lovely Mexican restaurant (family owned). And within walking distance of most anything. Will continue to stay when I travel home. 🏡 Thank you for listening. ”
