「My father is disabled and needs oxygen cylinders and a concentrator: there were plenty of disabled parking spaces and on our arrival, two staff immediately offered to carry the oxygen into our room. It was wonderful that the reception, lounge, bar and restaurant were all on one level (no steps) and close to our room - at my request made at the time of booking, we were allocated Room 1. Despite its proximity to the motorway, the room was quiet and we both slept well, also thanks to the air...

「The staff were friendly, fun and efficient. A disabled parking space was close by for my husband and the ground floor bedroom exceptionally well accommodated and comfortable along with a wet room! The bar was fun, friendly and busy with excellent menu, great service and atmosphere. A local group of friends informally got together with instruments and voices. Much enjoyed. Highly recommended」

「Everything generally was ok. We arrived later than planned and wanted to get my daughter straight to bed. Most of the main lights in the room didn’t work, only bathroom and bedside lights. Reported to reception, she tried to change the main bulb, brought the wrong bulb then needed to get steps. Tried to replace a side light bulb instead, but could get them working. Asked her to give up so I could get my daughter to bed in the end.」

「The place is beautiful with furniture and decor to reflect older time periods. The bedding smelt fresh. The TV worked perfectly in a little cupboard. It had a very homely feeling. The room was a nice size. The shower lip had some mould on it and the room smelt very musty when we initially went in. I would recommend opening some windows during the day to air it out - it was fine once the windows were open. Staff were really helpful. The room was nice and cool, despite the warm weather.」
