“Great B&B with service to match! If you want to relax this is a very tranquil stay. Each room has different decor and options so it keeps it interesting. Rooms are very clean too! Owners are extremely welcoming and address any need you may have. The property is beautiful surrounded by trees but has outdoor area to relax as well. It’s located just down the road from Foxwoods Casino and other towns near by which keeps your day options abundant as well. My husband and I enjoyed it and look……

“We arrived around midnight. We were so exhausted . It was nice to be able to have a quiet drink before going to bed. Meredith was wonderful. ”

“This was a very pleasant surprise and a gem. The proprietors are artists and each room is unique, filled with special objects or art and furniture. The wonderful aroma of the gorgeous wood floors and fireplace transport you to a place calmness and serenity. ”

“The House of 1833 is a beautiful old home with an amazing collection of antiques. It is surrounded by old English style gardens. In late September we were a bit too early for fall colors. The owner is delightful and helpful and the food was wonderful! ”

“Amazing restaurants at the hotel. Staff was friendly, accommodating, helpful. Casino was very clean, smoke free. Excellent shopping. Amazing spa. Just wish that Expedia would stop or clarify that the hotel stays are in the original part of the hotel and start offering stays in the updated rooms. I’m so tired of seeing the grand hotels then finding my rooms to be plainer and not the luxury room. Just add a note while we are looking at rooms. I’ll gladly pay more if I knew the room has……

“Beautiful hotel walking distance to shops, dinning and the aquarium. Room is very spacious and great for families. My kids love this hotel and wanted to stay longer. Pool is heated as well! Staff is very friendly. ”
