Formerly, the waterways were home to a fleet of wherries that transported various commodities along the navigable section of the River Chet. Today, the pace of life is much more relaxed with a few boats, swans and ducks. Nestled at end of long drive and neighbouring the owner’s boatyard with boat moorings. Great walking, cycling and bird watching are available from the doorstep, and fishing is available in the river (by licence).
Visit the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 16 miles, with pier, fun fairs, amusements, wide sandy beach and town centre, packed with activities for all ages. The market town of Beccles, 7 miles, for shops, market days, cafés, supermarkets, restaurants, daily boat hire and river trips.
