While this resort did have a nice adults only pool & the ground were kept up well…we really did not enjoy the food, entertainment, or overall vibe of staff interactions. We did find certain bartenders who were great so I would like to credit those who at least smiled. My previous resort stays in Mexico all felt very welcoming. However this time the person checking us in was on her phone the entire time, no welcome drink, and almost no explanation of the grounds of the establishment. Buffet food was very mediocre. The first day we felt concerted the food had been left out for a long period of time or reheated. Unfortunately one of the people in our group got very sick from dinner on our last night from one of the restaurants.
We did have a fun experience overall, but would probably spend a bit more next time to stay in a better location.
Some positives: If you book through Expedia, you were able to make dinner reservations for the following day while others have to wait in line day-of to make reservations.
The pool was great and the swim up pool bar was inviting.
The rooftop bar was a great late night spot for drinks and socialization—it did however smell?
