We had a rough start upon checking in. We found dried up blood on the ladder in the bunk room. There were stains on the comforter and mold around the AC unit in the master bedroom. I made a call to the property manager and shortly afterwards someone came in and cleaned up the dried up blood. They also gave me a replacement blanket for the comforter. The location was far from the boardwalk but still close enough to other restaurants and things to do. The beach was right at the end of the block. Overall we still had a nice few days away.

Great stay

Had a great stay. It was nicer than I expected. I think the photo's need to be updated as the photo's posted was not what we walked into. It was updated very nice and was very clean. Was a very convenient location and very close to the beach. Will stay again.

We had to leave

I really expected so much more. Where to start? As a family we have vacationed in OC many times. We have never had to leave a rental due to cleanliness. Immediately upon entering, we regretted this pick. The carpet was the absolute worse with some very questionable things litered all over. Food substances caked around edges of door. Not just recent stains but things that accumulated for years. The sides of the fridge were marked up with all kinds of gunk and scratches. Not just a quick cosmetic wipe. The towel rod in the bathroom was cracked. The vents on the AC had caked on dust etc. Not just a quick wipe but looks as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. I also got stuck in the bathroom because the doorknob wouldn't catch a grip and kept spinning. Thankfully, my daughter was able to open it from the other side. We immediately contacted host (which at this point I have spoken to 5 different reps for this company), and sent photos. And a very few hours later told them that we were going somewhere else. We haven't had luck hearing from the local property manager yet and it's been 5 days. I wish I would have looked up the main property management name in Google to see the reviews there. We did not feel comfortable being there. I really don't understand the positive reviews on here. We are not extremely picky people. Expected a clean place though to feel comfortable for a couple nights. I've never felt like at any other place in OC.

Homey condo, with great beach block location

This place was ideal for a weekend getaway. The condo is definitely homey. If you are looking for clean and modern, this is not the place. However, for our purposes it was just fine.

Good location. Dated property

We decided to go on a last minute quick weekend trip to the beach. It was a lovely family weekend. We had loads of fun but wished we stayed at a different location. We go to ocean city yearly minus during the pandemic. We decided to stay here because of the good reviews we saw. I normally don’t leave reviews but this place definitely needed an honest one. This location was the worst for our family. We would not stay at this location again. Pros: *The cleaning crew does a good job of keeping the property clean. *Short walk to the beach which is good for families with grandparents and young kids. *Good location away from the boardwalk for quite relaxation. But close enough to drive to the boardwalk for the evenings. *Cute beach house decor. Cons: *Everything was extremely outdated except the bar stools which seemed to be the only new additions to the property. *The shower was by far the worst part of the property. You could have a cold shower or a extremely low pressure hot shower. Forget trying to get a lukewarm decent pressure shower. The water hose outside of the property was better. *The beds were terrible to sleep on. *The couch was old and worn down. *The kitchen wasn’t well equipped at all. Keep in mind we don’t cook much but need simple things to make sandwiches for the beach and instant coffee. The knifes to make sandwiches with were old dull and even chipped. *We even lost power and all we used was the a/c on a medium setting, tv, and microwave.

Great little getaway

Pictures were very accurate. A very short walk to the beach. Everything was clean and ready for us. Plenty of towels. We had a nice, short stay.

reasonable price/close to beach but basic accommodations

This in a great location (for me who had to work at the convention center a few days) and close to the beach. Very reasonable price for what it is. A few strange things like a washer, but no dryer and the check out instructions say to put the dishes in the dishwasher, but there is no dishwasher....and the fact that you had to fumble with an old lock box to get the keys in/out every time you had to leave the home (per the instructions).

Easy Beach access

This was perfect for our simple needs. Property was very dated and worn but location had easy beach access, convenient parking and central location.

5 day stay on 43rd

Overall stay was good. Room was pretty clean. There was no dryer as in the listing , there were only towels/washrags for 2 and there were 4 of us and the kitchen was not well stocked (towels, dishes, etc).

GREAT LOCATION !

Was my first time booking with VRBO and this property was just perfect for labor weekend , a long weekend to spend with my family and friends. The neighborhood is quiet ,SAFE !, you have a seafood restaurant behind the house by the parking lot which is a plus for us , because we love seafood ! 2 min walking to the beach also walking distance to stores , restaurants and seacrets ! my only "complain" maybe is just the beds :( ( they are very old and noisy not comfortable to sleep, the property owner or whoever is managing this place should change the mattresses and change the filter of the air condition )

Great location in OC!

Online info and pictures helped us know what to expect. It was a pretty nice week, stayed outside most of the time. Sleep comfortably and made most of our meals in the kitchen.

I never write reviews

I am mostly a buyer beware type of person. I have never posted an online review for anything either positive or negative. My families stay in this property necessitated my posting this to attempt to make others aware of this property. The first problem was with the listing. I found this property on the VRBO website and only after the booking did I realize that it was actually a Vacasa property listed on VRBO. This caused us to pay an additional $100 fee to Vacasa. The billing also got screwed up causing my wife to have to spend literally hours on the phone trying to straighten it out. Our arrival led to more disappointment as the unit was not what any reasonable person would consider “clean.” Simply wiping down surfaces and changing sheets does not justify ever single renter paying a cleaning fee. The carpets in this unit were disgusting and stained badly. Clearly this unit has not been updated in decades. The furniture was equally as disgusting with food and crusty stains all over it, broken chairs, dust and dirt everywhere. The listing itself was also inaccurate as it clearly stated there was a washer/dryer in the unit which was false. There was only a washing machine which does little good with no dryer. The only toilet paper was the roll that was on when we arrived - with no extra anywhere. The location of this rental is decent as it is in the beach block with no streets to cross to access the beach. However after paying all of the fees (cleaning, service fee, Vacasa fee) we spent almost $300/night for this rental. For that amount the property should be kept in a better state and the listing needs to be more accurate.
