I'd like to start by saying that Ogunquit is my HAPPY PLACE, as I grew up spending my summers here with family. The Aspinquid was like being in a time capsule from the 70's. The bathroom was the ONLY thing that appeared to be updated at all in this building. We were at the beach for a Girls' BFF Weekend from Florida, and I GET IT, it's THE BEACH. I also understand it is not a 5-Star Resort. However, I would've expected more updating for the price we paid for the room. When we arrived, the A/C was not turned on in the room and it was VERY HOT. The front desk staff was very nice and did find a fan for the loft BR which was oppressively hot. It took quite a while, but the room finally cooled off by the time we got back from dinner. We wore flip flops in the room to avoid stepping on the old carpeting. Beds were comfortable and it would be tough to beat the location, BUT this place needs a major decorative overhaul.

We have stayed at this hotel for a few summers in a row and previously loved it. This year was different. Families with small kids (ours are 2 and 4) I would recommend looking elsewhere to stay. We got a call from the front desk that the people staying below us complained about our kids being loud. As toddlers, they tend to run instead of walk and that was what I believe they were complaining about. That same day, these neighbors were banging on their ceiling as a way to tell us to quiet down? Again, our kids were not causing an excess amount of noise, they were just walking in a way that toddlers do. Maybe it’s an issue with the sound proofing of the rooms or maybe we just got grouchy neighbors. Either way, as a young family looking to stay close to the beach at a family friendly hotel, look elsewhere!

This was so convenient to walk to the beach with the kids as well as Main Street for shops and restaurants. We had such a fabulous time!

Large complex of several buildings. Cross the street and over a bridge and you are at the beach. Nice pool area. Walkable to town center.

Very close to everything, no need to drive if you’re able to walk easily. Parking lot area of hotel seems a bit too tight, especially for larger SUVs, but I managed fine.

The staff was very nice. The room was very clean but somewhat dated. The bed was very comfortable, and a nice view of the river. Easy to walk to everything. Very convenient.

Good place to stay near Ogunquit beach, with easy access to shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, the room was comfortable and met our needs. A couple of things that would have been nice would be more outlets, and possibly, an updated kitchenette.
