“ Lovely room well set up will stay again ”

“We stayed in Treetops at the Abri Apartments for five nights towards the end of a six week trip to NZ and it was ideal. Set back from the main drag with views out across the water to Russell and an apartment with just about everything you could want set in lovely gardens. Helen was a great host and our stay was really relaxed. If you’re going to Paihia (and it makes a great base for the Bay of Islands) then book this early and enjoy the time there even more. ”

“This property exceeded our expectations, so clean, spacious and comfortable it felt like coming home. My sister and I had booked this for a few nights away with our elderly mother, she is partially blind due to macular degeneration but was able safely navigate her way around the flat. We had an absolute ball! The weather was perfect, the location was idyllic, my sister and I did the coastal walk which was beautiful, the fish and chips from the takeaways at Opua were some of the best we've tried,……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary Palms everything is set up to allow for a relaxing stay. The photos really don’t do it justice it is a beautiful home from home. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. We were a little worried about negative reviews about the parking situation and yes, it is tight but it’s only a short walk to find plenty of free on street parking which we favoured so that our large rental car didn’t cause any bother to other guests. “The view of the harbor from the 2nd story porch was very picturesque - the noise from the boats or the ferry never bothered us. There was a general store nearby for some supplies, but most shopping required a bigger store. The location was near enough to Paihia for restaurants when we didn't feel like cooking. The kitchen was well equipped and had enough stainless steel countertop to make workspace for the cutting boards, etc. The 2 under-counter fridges were sufficient for our needs. The beds……

“Awesome. Clean and tidy. Two very large bedrooms. All the amenities you need. Walk to the restaurants, shops, and warf. Tiny view of the water. Quiet location. Free gated parking. Plus, we left a valuable item in the apartment and the own was very responsive and returned it to us overnight shipping for no fee. Wow. Great service. Thanks John!!!”

“Beautiful scenic and quiet property to relax and enjoy. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, helpful and very approachable and flexible. The property is as portrayed in the listing, plenty of room for our family and only 5 minutes drive from town. We would be happy to stay again. Lovely treats left to welcome us too, thank you :-)”

“Robert’s apartment was ideal for our 9 day stay in Paihia. Loads of room in the apartment, and the location couldn’t have been better. We could walk to everything in town. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was updated. Robert was responsive to all our questions and most accommodating. We would definitely rent this spot again.”
