"Great space and setting for a larger group …lawn games, expansive porch with an outdoor fireplace, and a floor plan gives people their own space but also has great rooms for gathering. It’s about a 10-min drive to the center of Cashiers, so it’s close enough to run in for a meal or to pick up supplies, but secluded enough to be peaceful and feel very private. Third time we’ve been and won’t be the last."

"A place of peace. This cabin is a lovely treasure nestle in the cool mountain air between Cashiers and Highlands, NC. Escaping the frenzied pace and the heat and humidity of Atlanta, we entered the peace and serenity of The Cabin. The only sound was quiet, crickets, and a soft rain that night. Inside was cozy and warm, decorated with antiques, stained glass, paintings and drawings of the natural world and birds. I regret we only had one night! I will surely come back here. Thank you for this wonderful experience!"

"The cabin was as described and depicted in the photos. It’s nestled near a small stream that was gently flowing and babbling due to recent rainfall. It was the ideal location for our daily trips/ hikes to explore the area waterfalls and a welcome sight upon driving up to the cabin after a long day of hiking. We were visited by several wild turkeys in the mornings. Gig was very responsive to questions and genuinely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again without any hesitation."
Nestledown - Peaceful Mountain Retreat!

"My wife and I spent a wonderful time in mid-August at Nestledown. A few days before we arrived the host called us and provided detailed directions to the house from Highlands. The location is so convenient between Highlands and Cashiers and is an easy drive to other towns in the area. Nestledown is on a small private road surrounded with dense woods filled with rhododendron. We found everything one could need and in immaculate condition. We certainly hope to return."
