"The room was lovely, the staff outstanding and a lot of fun ideas (happy hour for all guests every evening, providing rides in their jeep if you needed to go somewhere, and breakfast baskets delivered daily)."

Planters Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great property and staff. Love the location and safety of the area. Only down side is the bathroom could use better lighting, and a couple of bulbs were burned out"
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview
10/10 Excellent
"We were happy to be in a quiet area by the marina. Our room was on the fourth floor and we had a view of the water Marsh land. It was such a nice spot. However, the breakfast was not very tasty and the eggs were too salty so we passed on breakfast. It was conveniently close to Charleston. Although not walkable to there we had to drive."
"The hotel takes you back in time. From the courtyard to the rooms. Everything was so charming. Breakfast in the morning was the perfect amount of protein for our all-day walks. Everything from restaurants, the African Museum, Rainbow Row, and the waterfront park was all within walking distance. The only complaint I have is the 5-minute walk to your parking spot. I don't mind walking, but on a long, hot day, one just wants to pull up to the hotel and park. Other than that, this place was wonderful! "
"I highly recommend The Ansonborough! I loved the decor of the renovated c1900 building. The rooms were unique in design and beautiful. They had a small bar in the lobby with a cool vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do. One employee even took the time to let me know I had a flat tire on my rental car! This was amazing as I wouldn't have known it until I left to go to the airport, and that would have been stressful! On this note, super easy parking on site. Don't hesitate to book this lovely hotel, super convenient to explore Charleston by foot."
"The breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs and lots of fruit coffee, yogurt etc. was what we often eat at home. Healthy and tasty. Water was always available as the tap water wasn't up to par. Fresh, clean water in cans.
The afternoon wine and cheese was something we enjoyed very much as well my husband liked the milk & cookie event in the later evening."
