「The hotel is in the worst part of Portland. They have no parking unless you pay an $80 valet fee. This you have to pay since there is no parking in the streets unless you want to risk parking in an area full of junkies and thieves. The Hoxton knows this, hence the ridiculous “valet fee” plus tip! I was able to park my car in a parking garage after a half hour of stress and exhaustion from my trip. Turns out that’s EXACTLY the place they park the valeted cars you pay $80 for!! RIPOFF JOINT」

「Music plays until midnight, but you know this going in. The only really annoying thing is the room cards demagnetize very easily. I was carrying it in my pocket next to a credit card and it stopped working. Both mine and my girlfriends failed. They need to get a better system, rather than blaming us for having it next to something magnetic. Never had this issue at any other hotel.」
