"The 4 of us all loved this place! The location was great, and the apartment itself was perfect. We would stay here again. We enjoyed the town of Oliena. From here, we were able to appreciate the mountains, and the east coast (Gologone) was only 35 minutes away. The host was wonderful and recommended the restaurant, Sa Horte De Su Poeta, and it was one of the best experiences of our month-long visit to Sardinia."

"Maria was exceptionally helpful throughout our 2 week stay at Casa Madreu, and was interested in where we had explored and offerred suggestions which were much appreciated. We went on long walks (6-7 hours) most days, and at the end of the day we always went swimming either at one of the lovely beaches n the coast, or in some beautiful pools in the nearby river. "Rustic Charm! Lovely experience! Don’t be put off by some of the negative reviews- especially the ones about luggage support and service. The service was perfect. There’s much to love about this place. It’s not a luxury resort so if that’s what you’re after this is not your place but it’s a unique property, quaint, charming and cozy in a scenic, quiet area away from everything. Our room was nicer than expected and comfortable. Overall it was better than expected. The restaurant was actually not as good as expected although it’s charming and dry busy. We had dinner there two nights in a row. One night the service was great. The second night it was abysmal. The food was unremarkable but very inexpensive. "

"A modern, thoughtfully designed property on a hilltop overlooking Nuoro. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful with a small problem that I had. The rooms were modern and comfortable. One issue that we found everywhere in Sardinia is that the rooms don't have enough electrical outlets, making it a bit of a hassle to charge personal devices. The breakfast was fine in a room with a great view overlooking the town. One plus, during the off-season, is that there are enough travelers for business, so the property offers the full range of services. At other properties in the off-season, the lack of guests can result in limited services. Also, excellent parking. Definitely recommend for car travelers. Because it is located 2 km from the city center, it may be a hassle for persons who don't have a car, although there is good municipal bus service accessible about a five minute walk distant."

"What a fantastic place is Sas Abbilas. A pearl we happened to find for our work in the surrounding. Beautiful nature, the woods and the little river. A fantastic family that takes care of you with tasty (for us vegetarian) food and lots willingness to make your stay a happy one. We will definitely come back!"

"Very nice traditional hotel with superb views over Bitti and the mountains. Restaurant good quality and only real restaurant in Bitti (walking distance). Bitti itself is a pleasant, but unremarkable village with lots of interesting and steep back streets. Good stop over for a few days if exploring Sardinia "
