The rooms need to be upgraded. Ceiling peelings. The remote control didn’t work properly. No microwave. The central air was not cooling. The doors were difficult to open and close. The room key was supposed to open the lever to enter and leave the parking lot but it didn’t work. I had to call for help each time and this included a $35/day fee for parking.

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The pictures online are extremely deceiving—the property is much more dated than what’s advertised. When we arrived in our room, there was leftover food from a previous guest that looked like it had been sitting there for days. The room itself felt dark and uninviting, with no overhead lighting—only a few lamps, which didn’t provide nearly enough light. The kitchen area was especially concerning. It looked like there had been a leak under the sink at some point, but instead of properly fixing it, the cabinet floor was left with visible water stains and what appeared to be mold. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell—we couldn’t tell if it was coming from the old food or the water damage, but either way, it made the stay uncomfortable. Another issue was the AC unit. The switch was positioned low enough for our toddler to easily turn it on and off, which is a safety concern. On top of that, the thermostat didn’t seem to work properly. We tried adjusting the temperature multiple times—even setting it as high as 85—but the room stayed freezing cold. We ultimately had to turn the AC off completely just to feel somewhat comfortable. While the lobby looked nice and updated, everything beyond that was a letdown. Overall, this hotel is in serious need of a major update. For the price you’re paying, it simply isn’t worth it. The experience felt more like staying in a slightly upgraded motel.

Food that was left for who knows how long.

What a great stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. Clean. The bed was very comfortable had great sleep the entire time. Sadly can't get that at my home. If I ever come backnto Orlando I would def go back. The location was perfect close to downtown but just far enough to feel and escape. 1 mile difference from where all the action is going but perfect for me because it forces me to walk just a little bit.

We had two rooms. 2nd room couldn't provide heat, so moved to another room, which was dirty. Toilets way too low for a normal person. I was charged for a third room that I didn't authorise or ask for. Cost of food! $34 for fish & chips. $22 for a burger. $4.50 for a soda. The communication via telephone with the hotel and customer service left much to be desired. Will to use this hotel again.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price I paid and my status as a Hilton Honors member. The parking garage felt very old, poorly maintained, and unsafe. Unfortunately, that same concern continued with the elevators. When I checked in and used the elevator to reach the 13th floor, it felt unreliable and concerning. Upon entering room 1301, it was clear that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. The bed appeared to have been quickly made without proper cleaning. The bathroom was unacceptable—the tub had visible dirt, and there was hair around the toilet. Additionally, the box spring cover was partially hanging off, which made the room feel neglected. The windows were also extremely dirty, making it difficult to enjoy the view. Left side lamp had a completely broken lightbulb with wires handing out. To make matters worse, the ice machine on the 13th floor was broken. When I tried calling the concierge, no one answered until I selected the care line. I was then told I would need to go to another floor for ice, as they do not deliver it. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, or service. It was particularly disappointing given the cost and my loyalty status.

Property is VERY worn. Carpet in the Oversized Room was thread bare at the doors. Very dated, no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it filled with steam. Elevators felt like they wouldn’t make it up the floors. Zero parking unless you paid for their parking garage or you parked on the street around the hotel. Ironing board I had to lean against the wall to keep from falling over. This hotel does not deserve a 3 or 4 rating at all other than the staff was very nice.

My stay at the hotel started out great. No problems for several days. However, by the 5th night, I got terribly sick. I went downstairs to get some Imodium I had seen the day before, but there was none left. The girl at the front desk at 3 am did not have a key to replenish the stock. I can imagine I was not the only one who was sick. After having to spend the night in the hospital, the doctor said that I had contracted the norovirus most likely from the hotel, as I had not been anywhere else. 1. Norovirus - I had to go by ambulance to the hospital because I was severely dehydrated from this virus and felt as if I was going to faint. The symptoms were from 9 pm to 4 am. It was awful. 2. I was caring for my sister, who had surgery, and when I had to leave the hotel to go to the hospital, she called down to the front desk and asked for a room that she could use because our room should have been immediately quarantined. The housekeeper brought a spray bottle and handed it to her to clean. She had surgery just days before and that was not possible. They finally let her use another room to go to the bathroom. The housekeeper came around 12:30 to clean. I leave via ambulance at 4 am! That is not right. The hotel should have been more proactive in protecting my sister and the other guests. I had a very contagious virus. They were not helpful, and they saw me leave on a stretcher for goodness sakes.

The hotel was clean and the staff were polite and professional. For a Doubletree property it was very dated with older furniture and bathroom fixtures. No place to have breakfast after 10:00am as the restaurant closes. Another negative was parking costs more than $30.00 dollars. If they bring back the chocolate chip cookies that might help.

The internet pictures look great but however the property needs upkeep. I've stayed here more than 10 times last year because I live in Tampa but have season tickets to the Orlando Magic. Yes, it's close to Kia Center and I love Doubletree hotels. However, the view from room 1126 was horrible. They need to clean the windows because u cannot even see the pool. The carpet has a smell, & the thermostat had to be put on 64 or the AC isn't going to work. Plus, there's a humming & buzzing sound all night from it. I couldn't really sleep from the sound. The bed pillows are flat, I asked for extras. The staff doesn't know what's going on in the hotel. I stayed here before & received a comp for parking, but the staff says they never ever comped for parking, which I know is a lie, but now I look like a liar when I mention it. On the way to the pool is a smoker's container for cigarette butts. Its new to me so I asked was the pool area designated for smokers & they said there's no smoking up there! So, I asked, then why is there a smoking container? To make it even funnier a custodian heard my question and informed the front desk that there's in fact a smoker's container up there indicating you can smoke there and she sees people smoke there all the time! They were startled. And then there was the pool. It was dirty and had leaves and particles floating around. Needless to say, I didn't get in. I am currently searching for other hotels in the area because this was my last visit here.
