Ohana Getaway

We had a good size group stay here, and there was plenty of room! We loved the family fun with the pool table, ping pong, and the pool! Plus a great lazy river at the club house! Fairly close to Disney! Lots of opportunities to make family memories!

Wee had booked this property for 2 weeks. When we got to property we saw the oven was broken and extremely dirty which caused us to leave after a day and half. They did send a handyman but he just took pictures and acknowledged that it was broken. Property management said that we could leave and we did get a refund but it ruined the first few days of vacation as we had to unpack and pack all in a day and half. They also did not provide us with another property and I needed to find one on my own on short notice. They also wanted us to leave at 10 when check in for all homes are at 4. We had to go back and forth until they finally agreed to let us stay as where did they expect us to go for all those hours? WiFi and TVs were not working. Handyman attempted to fix it but he couldn't figure it out and said they would need to call the Internet company. This property only has Roku TV. It does not have access to spectrum/cable TV. Kitchen bar stools and dining room chairs need to be replaced as they are very worn out. As written in a previous review, the company never answers the phone and it always says you are first in que. They communicated with me through the VRBO app. They responded quickly before we stayed and when trying to contact them during issues there were some delays in responses. I had to request calls thru the app. (Which were infrequent) House is spacious and with some updates and a new oven would have been a nice stay.

Disappointed

While the host had a very sweet demeanor, I want to be helpful to all those who are taking time to search for the perfect fitting vacation stay by providing a fair and accurate description of my experience. The high quality photos and props did not match the dim aura you see and feel in the house. I was rather disappointed . Within 5 minutes of being in the house, I found two cockroaches (water bugs to be exact). The carpets need washing, the back patio was not swept, the pool water was cloudy and appeared to have some grease in it. The kitchen counters were not wiped down, the TV remotes needed batteries, there were three smoke detectors that beeped throughout the house continuously all day and all night. The host sent a maintenance person the next day to clean and heat the pool, and change the batteries on the smoke detectors. There was a broom but no dust pan, swifer mop no swifer wipe pads, the host offered to reimburse me if I decided to go out and purchase those items. The grill works but was slightly broken; the gas knobs were an issue. My family made the best of it, but If I had an option to change units, I would have. Unfortunately, I would not rent this property for vacation again. The host is as available via inbox on vrbo, I could not reach her on the phone directly as the phone number is linked to some kind of call queue that says I’m the only caller holding, yet my call was never picked up. I text her and she wrote me back on vrbo. Disappointed!
