The host, David, was very responsive through the whole process, starting as soon as I made the booking. We really only had one concern-how to open the slider to the pool-and it was resolved in less than five minutes. The house is spacious and very welcoming. We had 11 staying on the property, and it accommodated all of us beautifully. The Disney parks were all under 20 minutes away, there is a Publix supermarket minutes away, and other amenities in the immediate vicinity. We enjoyed our vacation very much, and are looking forward to visiting again.

Great stay

We had a great time. It was a multi-generational family trip with 7 adults and 7 kids ranging in age from 6-15. The property was as described, very clean, well-maintained, and contained many amenities that made our stay more comfortable. David thought of almost everything you could want when staying at a home away from home. The heated pool/spa worked great and the community pool area was very clean and well attended. The kids enjoyed the game room. Highly recommend.

The house was great. Exactly like pictures and had everything you could possible need for cooking large family meals in the kitchen. The clubhouse was busier than we like. Stood in line 15 minutes everytime we want or needed to do something. (check in and out, play putt putt golf)

We would like to express our pleasure at the facilities we have enjoyed during our stay here. Truly a fantastic choice of apartment. The children's dream of using a home arcade has come true. The kitchen is extremely well equipped! The Mickey Mouse waffle maker was a favourite with the kids! Thank you very much! Rooms and bathrooms were beautifully clean and the lovely bed linen was a particular delight! The house is furnished with great taste! A small but very useful feature for families with children is a light that illuminates at night. The pool and Spa made everyday very pleasant, great fun with the colourful lighting!

Spring Break 2025

Overall we loved our stay, it was a perfect location for our many activities throughout our stay that took us to both coasts. We had 4 families ranging from ages 8 to 50 and the house was a perfect size. The layout allowed everyone to have their own space and we could gather as we wanted as well in the common areas. Maintenance came right away when we needed the pool clean (because of how loved the pool and spa were used during our time, no issues with it). Had one area that needed a little house keeping, but overall very clean.Word of advice the check in process was very long, so try to check in after 7 pm. We waited over an hour when we arrived around 5 pm, traffic was backed up on the road.When we left again around 7:30 traffic had cleared. Traffic overall in the area is a bit heavy, so just be prepared to check drive times before leaving. Again, overall perfect location and house to spend time with family and friends, would stay again, especially with knowing some of the quirks of the area

Amazing House and Resort

Our family of 9, with 3 kids 4 to 13, absolutely loved our stay at this amazing house.The description and amenities were spot on! The view from the back was breathtaking. The hot tub & pool were perfect for relaxing after a long day. We got to watch the fireworks while soaking in the warm waters! The heated pool was always at a comfortable 86, the hot tub 103. The hot tub was so warm without the Jets, which was a huge plus!We’ve rented in Cape Coral and Davenport before, including resorts like Reunion and smaller ones. This house was the best we’ve ever stayed in. It was super convenient, right in the middle of everything, but still had a private feel.David sent us the activity calendar for the week, there were so many fun things to do for the whole family. We even did mini-golf, which was a blast. The kids loved the lazy river and pool & they had a great time at the clubhouse too. Some of the video games at the clubhouse weren’t working, that didn’t matter because there were so many other games & TVs to keep us entertained.The house was so comfortable and relaxing, with everything we needed. There were plenty of trash bags, laundry & dishwasher tabs, so we didn’t have to buy extra. Overall, it was an incredible experience!We loved the extras, step stool for the little ones, strollers, toy tables with building blocks, books, and games.David was super & quick to answer questions, which made our vacation great. Everything went exactly as planned we had an amazing time!

Everything was as described, location is great for most things in the Orlando area. Great spot to see the launches from Kennedy Space Centre on a clear night and the fireworks from Disney.

Amazing house and resort

This is the best house we have ever stayed in. We have been going for many years to various houses in the Orlando area with extended family. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. It had all the good kitchen tools, lots of towels, pool toys. The pool was warm. We had a lot of fun at the Windsor Island resort as well. I highly recommend the Ohana Gathering house.

Great getaway vacation idea!

What better way to enjoy a vacation getaway is in a home away from home. Especially right next to vacation capital of the world. Our young grandkids kept saying that they don't want to leave. Thinking of doing this annually and longer. Our home owner/manager,David, as well as the maintenance person,Andy,were totally great people and went out of there way to make our experience awesome!

We travel quite often. This home is one of the best rentals I have been in. It is extremely clean, attractive, and comfortable. Our family really enjoyed the gameroom and pool. I would definitely return on future trips to the area.

Amazing stay.

My family and I stayed from 11/12/22-11/20/22. We had a big group of 15 ages 1-63. This house was perfect, plenty of space for all the kids to hang out and for none of us to feel like we were on top of each other. The heated pool and grill were a great extra with this house. (We had a aunt and a cousin come over for a cookout one evening) When the baby was napping in the bedroom he slept right though all the running around and screaming of the other kids, the house was so big you could barely hear things in the next room. There were a few issues, but David was amazing about fixing right away. Andy the maintenance guy was awesome and went above and beyond. If you are looking for a place in the area close enough to Disney, but not in a resort this is perfect! It’s also not far from the beach, we spent a whole day down at cocoa. 10/10 recommend. Danielle

Best Family Gathering Home

The Ohana Gathering House is an amazing place to stay. Such a cozy wonderful place!!! It’s immaculately clean, fully equipped kitchen & accessories, furniture, large flat screen TVs in every room, game room, stroller and highchair for babies and a barbecue grill. We enjoyed the backyard with such a beautiful heated pool and spa! You can see the Disney fireworks 9pm every night. The most important thing – the owner is a phone call away, someone that really cares and will do anything to make your stay the best experience of your life! The Club house lazy river, the splash pad and water slides and miniature golf was also fun for the entire family. What a blessing to have stayed there. Thank you so much for having us!!!

Breath Taking

The description doesn’t do this house justice. The most beautiful home we have ever stayed at. Every detail was very well thought out. We enjoyed everything about this beautiful home. The hospitality, communication from David, the fireworks, hot air balloons, and the amazing Chef David recommended. Chef Kegon and his wife made us a beautiful brunch in the house. Our kids enjoyed being in the pool, the game room, and we all enjoyed the beds. The beds made us all just want to sleep in all day. The Ohana house is perfect! We will be back soon! Family vacation

Our 8 day stay at the Ohana gathering house was nothing less than amazing! The owner of the home really pays attention to the small details. The kids absolutely loved making Mickey waffles every morning with the waffle iron. The house was very well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap in every bathroom, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry soap, and dishwasher pods. The pool was heated to the perfect temperature and was not an extra fee! The pool toys and accessories provided were so nice to have! The view of the hot air balloons every morning and MK fireworks at night was so cool. The owner David had excellent communication with us the entire time. We are already planning another trip back!

Our stay was GREAT! Beautiful property, wonderful community clubhouse. The staff was friendly.

The property was beautiful and tastefully decorated by owners. The owners are very responsive to questions and concerns. The clubhouse is amazing! All activities included in cost of stay and included basketball, miniature golf, the gameroom, community pool and lazy river. We will definitely come back and recommend this property to others.

Fantastic Birthday with Family

House and amenities as advertised actually Better. Communication with owner David was excellent he is very pro active. Remedied trash issue on the spot. Our 3 girls and 6 Grandkids all said it was best vacation ever. I cannot recommend this house and owner enough. Spectacular house and can wait to return in the future Steve. Book it!!

Beautiful house, responsive owner, wonderful amenity center

We are just home from a 10 night stay at Ohana Gathering House in Windsor Island Resort. One word summarizes our experience – fabulous! For background, there was a maximum of 14 of us at the house for varying lengths of time. Age range from 3 years to 60+. This was our annual mulit-generational family trip and the house and resort did not disappoint. First I’ll talk about the house. The owner David was VERY RESPONSIVE. A main reason why I booked this home was because I had read reviews of David on another vacation rental property that he owned. The house is brand new (fall 2021) and beautifully decorated (not with cheap furniture). We have rented vacation homes throughout the US and this home is #1 – and David is the most responsive owner that we have ever rented from. If an issue arises, you are not dealing with a property management company that may or may not respond to your phone call/email/text. We had a few small issues that we texted David about and he addressed them in a timely manner. Pool heat and use of the grill are included in the rental cost which is nice. Pay attention to what is provided e.g. pool towels, laundry soap and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel etc. There were ample plates and flatwear for our group. The resort amenity center had opened about 2 weeks prior to our arrival. The place is beautiful and clean with friendly, helpful staff. In the aquatic area there was a lifeguard in the kiddie pool (which is not heated), a lifeguard by the big pool (heated), 2 lifeguards in the heated lazy river and 2 on water slide duty. The hot tub is large and hot. There are 2 firepits as well as sand volleyball, basketball and mini-golf. There is also a bar/grill where you can order drinks or some food. There was an attendant from the grill walking around taking orders poolside. Inside the amenity center is a state of the art work-out room and arcade room with games. The pool closed at dusk which was a little early. One negative about this resort community is the lack of available parking. When built out, we were told there would be 800 homes/townhomes. The homes range from 5-10 bedrooms. Each home has a driveway big enough for 2 cars. Most of these homes when rented will likely have at least 4 cars – and there isn’t room for 4 cars in the driveway. I saw cars parked on both sides of the street and on the grass. In summary, if you are looking for a place to stay in Central Florida –book this house!
