"Canto del Fiume" is the name of our structure, built thanks to a meticulous Tuscan-style renovation, rustic and cozy, of an ancient complex in the historic center of the village of Raggiolo of medieval origin and consists of four independent accommodations, arranged on two ancient stone houses:
Casa "Le Mogli" is arranged on a single floor, there are only three steps that divide the dining area from one bedroom and bathroom, all rooms are equipped with large windows with mosquito nets. The kitchen with dining area and sofa is very spacious and is equipped with high quality dishes, fridge, oven, gas hob and espresso machine; there are then two double bedrooms and a bathroom.
Casa "Paolina" is arranged on a single floor, there are only three steps that divide the dining area from the rest of the house and all the rooms are equipped with large windows with mosquito nets. The kitchen with dining area and fireplace is equipped with high quality dishes, fridge, oven, gas hob, dishwasher and espresso machine. There is also a living room with a double sofa bed and satellite TV, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
Casa "Ciucola" is arranged on two floors, on the ground floor there is a large open kitchen with dining area, fireplace, TV and a double sofa bed, a double bedroom with a private bathroom and a closet. The kitchen is complete with high quality dishes, fridge, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and espresso machine. On the first floor, which is accessed by a comfortable wooden staircase, we find another double bedroom, a bathroom, a bathroom, and an attic used as a diving unit.
Casa "Purgatorio" is arranged on one floor, it consists of a large open kitchen with dining area, a beautiful and old fireplace, TV and double sofa bed, a double bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen is complete with high quality dishes, fridge, oven, induction hob, dishwasher and espresso machine.
The property has the characteristics of a small stone village within a very private area of the village of Raggiolo. From the large windows you can admire the valley below which in every season will give you new colors and enjoy the fresh wind coming from the nearby mountains. In front of the entrance of each accommodation there is a small square with table and umbrella for exclusive use where you can have breakfast in the fresh morning or a dinner under the stars; in addition, the space is fenced to allow more control and security in the presence of four-legged friends of different groups of guests. Our Holiday House offers its guests private and comfortable apartments to meet every need.
Guests can also enjoy various services and common spaces, such as the large terraced garden, typical of the area where you can relax, the salt sanitized pool, the area with a hot tub covered by a wooden gazebo, the ping pong area and the pergola able to accommodate at least sixteen people, where you will also find a barbecue. All outdoor facilities are available for guests to use.
Small to medium pets are of course allowed for a small fee. The area offers the opportunity to do many hikes, food and wine tastings and visits to the typical nearby villages.
The historic center is entirely pedestrian, so cars are parked in the free municipal parking lot at the gates of the village, about 250 meters away, leaving a lot of tranquility inside the village, we also recommend the use of trolleys for luggage transport. If necessary, we will be happy to assist our guests. Thanks to the conformation of the place, there are ascents and/or descents according to the chosen route, even with moderate slopes. In the case of guests with reduced mobility, it is advisable to contact us for further information and to make specific arrangements for your stay.
The houses are made of local stone and the streets of the village can only be walked on. This allows you to live a holiday in an almost unrepeatable context, where silence and tranquility reign supreme. No noise or car will disturb your stay, only the distant murmur of the river and the chirping of the swallows... Children and animals will be able to move freely and live in full contact with nature. The property is located within the small village but remains completely secluded, while ensuring privacy and interaction with the place. Perched on the rocks of the mountain, it offers a breathtaking view of the valley, with Monte Verna in the background. Casentino, land of ancient castles and important places of faith, is in a strategic position to visit Arezzo at 40 m, Siena at 90 km, Florence 60 km and Cortona 70 km.
We recommend arriving by car. In the village there is a small convenience store, a bar and a restaurant. At 6 km there is a pharmacy and at 12 km about several shopping centers and services of all kinds, as well as pharmacies, ATMs, medical offices and first aid.
