The family that runs the property speaks wonderful English and is so helpful and works to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and well done. Clean and everything works. The location could not be better to be near by shopping and restaurants. They park your car for you for your stay and are always willing to help with maps and directions to places. I loved our stay. Great European breakfast included.

Property was a very average family run hotel close to central square. Great re cleanliness - hosts and staff were professional, but no sense of warmth/ friendliness. Plus was room was ready in advance of check-in, proximity to Orvieto’s main square, cleanliness & a nice full continental breakfast. Negative was really small room despite reservation for mid size and decision by owner to turn off heat for evening after a day only in the mid - to high 50s. The front desk inferred the owner had decided no heat was necessary, and that was policy. Once under all the blankets it was ok but not terribly pleasant thru late afternoon & evening. No explanation if malfunction or just owner’s decision to turn off system

Wonderful location with convenient bus service from the Funicular to Piazza Duomo. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious assortment at the buffet breakfast and recommend Hotel Duomo most highly.

Hotel Duomo is in a great location. The staff are very kind, and breakfast options are good. However the annex rooms, while comfortable, are very basic.

The Hotel Duomo is a very nice property directly off the square. It is very walkable to anything you want to see in Orvieto. The room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Hotel Duomo.

部屋が広くて天井が高く、そして面白い絵画が飾ってありとてもリラックスできました。イタリアにしては朝食が充実しています。スタッフの方も明るくて感じが良かったです。チェックイン前、チェックアウト後に荷物を預かってくれたので、ゆっくり散歩できました。また利用したいと思うホテルです。

The main hotel building is close to the Duomo, either down a short street or about 15 stair steps. Please note, if you book a room in the Annex Building, it is about 50meters down the road, in a separate building, with no elevator. Breakfast is in the main hotel building.

First of all, it's Orvieto! This is a magical place. This hotel has the best location in Orvieto. But they do not just rely on their location; they back it up with genuine hospitality and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended.

Good for a Family of 4
The room is spacious and is perfect for a family of four. We had two single beds and a full for the parents. It was the least expensive hotel of our stay, but one of the best.

We stayed in the annex down the road from the hotel and loved the quiet, air conditioned room on the top floor. Construction was going on across the narrow cobbled road, but it didn't interfere with our rest times. The complementary breakfast was delicious. Recommend!

I have stayed at the Hotel Duomo during many trips to Orvieto and it is the perfect place to stay! Right next to the Cathedral in the center of town, it could not be more perfectly located. They have a great breakfast, and it’s a great family run hotel. I highly recommend the hotel.

We booked a double room, “annex building This did NOT adjoin the Hotel, some 50 meters from the hotel, totally separate on a main artery, allot of traffic noise, ands major construction next door. The walls are paper thin, making it impossible to sleep with the late-night partiers. Having travelled Europe for 3 months, this was our WORST hotel experience, by far. In a telecom the day before, I advised we would arrive between noon and 1pm, and she said fine. Upon arrival we were informed that the check in was 2.30pm. We waited. Also, we were told to GPS to Piazza Marconi and follow the signs to Hotel Duomo. We were blocked by a van unloading goods, so I trekked up the narrow lane to finally reach the hotel and was met by the Hotel owner at the front desk, explaining we were unable to reach the hotel! After the van finally left, the Owner asked if we wanted to park the car at added cost, on his property near the hotel. Having checked into the annex, and driving from Elba, we decided to take a nap which was impossible with construction underway right next to our room. We cannot believe the audacity of any hotel to take a booking with ongoing construction next door. We were unable to call the Hotel front desk, as there was no telephone in the room. We chose this hotel based upon excellent location, next to the Duomo, and high ratings. We cannot understand the high ratings! Although we had paid for breakfast, we chose to leave. We would NEVER stay here again.

Dear Mr. Robert, thank you for your review because you are the first customer to give us a bad evaluation and therefore it means that after 30 years we still have to learn something.Our check-in and check-out time is written on all the booking sites and believe me you were told that you could of course arrive earlier to leave your luggage and car in our parking lot, as indeed we do with all our guests who arrive before the check-in time. Your booking in the separate building was your choice as the rooms cost much less than the hotel and if there is ongoing renovation work in nearby buildings it is certainly not our fault, should we close the structure??? Not to mention her rudeness on her arrival towards the guy at the reception precisely because she demanded that the room be ready at noon. We sincerely used all our welcome and courtesy but his is a problem that we cannot solve. Thank you and I wish you good luck
