Blue Sky Cottage is 750 feet away from Lurgan Beach in the hidden gem of Point Clark, Ontario. Surrounded by trees, the house is very private and nestled into a family-friendly neighbourhood.

You will have 4 spacious bedrooms that are completely separate from the main living/dining area and there's only one bed per bedroom.

Your laundry machines are on the main level and the enclosed porch is a lovely place to sit any time of year.

The driveway has parking for 3-5 cars.

The living room has a propane fireplace, a 58" Smart TV, Disney +, a Polk soundbar, and a waterproof Bluetooth speaker that's perfect for the beach and huge backyard.

The eat-in kitchen is equipped with a microwave, drip coffee machine, blender, toaster, crock pot, and kettle and seats 8 people comfortably.

The backyard is private with an outdoor dining area/deck, a barbeque/grill, plenty of grass, a great fire pit/sandbox, horseshoe pits, a picnic table, with soft overhead lighting. You can bask in the sun and enjoy shaded areas.

There's a children's playground, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a baseball diamond within 2 minutes. Inside the shed you'll find sports equipment, plenty of summer toys as well as five bicycles; two adult, two medium-sized, and one toddler bike. The whole area offers great cycling with a combination of paved, dirt, and gravel roads with flat terrain.

Location details: The Amberley General Store is only 8-minutes away and it's excellent. They sell essentials such as; groceries, ice, gas (vehicle), and it's an LCBO too. A Coffee Time and Mr. Sub are there as well.

Lurgan Beach is 2 kms long, semi-private, and only 750 feet from Blue Sky Cottage. We provide a pull-wagon for hauling beach gear for the 3-minute walk. The shoreline is shallow with a gradual slope making this a kid-friendly beach. Swimming shoes are recommended due to the pebbles and rocks in the sand and the sunsets are magnificent. Point Clark's public beach is a 6-minute drive or you can walk along the beach for 30-minutes towards the historical Point Clark lighthouse.

Just 15 minutes North of the cottage, en route to Kincardine where you can go shopping, is Family Funland where Go-Karts, mini-golf, and a driving range are. Just across the road is the Ainsdale public golf course.

Amazing Place

Blue Sky Cottage is lovely!

Our second stay…the house is perfectly situated a family vacation. It was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. Easy walk or bike ride to the beach & lighthouse, nice yard and fire pit for campfires. Thank you, Ken, for such a gem!

Great family vacation.

We loved our stay at this cottage. Beautiful area. Very close to quiet Sandy beach and playgrounds for children. Large property with horseshoes and a great fire pit. We had fires every night. No mosquitos or bugs. The only suggestion I would have is to upgrade the lawn furniture. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

Was not impressed

This cottage was ok. I have to say I have never given a review where I was not satisfied but there are some issues that should be addressed. Upon arrival I spent well over an hour cleaning the cottage, it was like no one had been by to clean in between renters. Dirty hand prints smeared on the bathroom walls, sand all over the floor, counters with ?? on them, light switches and door knobs with months worth of dirt that needed to be scrubbed off, and a few more things that should have never been an issue. We also have a few things we look for in places we stay every year and A/C is one of them. Upon booking the listing stated A/C (not just in one bedroom), a few weeks before we arrived we noticed that the A/C was now listed to be in one room only. IT WAS HOT! But I was not going to cancel and ruin my kids summer vacation. I would suggest another A/C unit on the main floor, or even screens on the doors so they can be opened for a cross breeze at least. Do not even think you are using the oven also. We took the suggestion to cook at a lower temp as stated in the handbook, we even went lower them the 50 degrees that was stated and everything burnt. Luckily there is a nice bbq and side burner that we could use. The bikes were a nice added bonus (we also left one there that our family doesn't use anymore). The beach near by is beautiful and the kids enjoyed how far out they could walk out in the water. Ken was very easy to reach when needed. At the end of the day my kids had a a good time and that's all that matters but we will not returning to this location.

Would go back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Blue Sky Cottage! The house is spacious with lots of rooms and everything you need for your stay. While only one room has a window A/C, it felt cool in the house during the day. The backyard is very nice - a great place for barbeque or fire at night or just lounging around. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed all the toys in and outside the house - lots to entertain the little ones. We also really loved the community - very quiet and welcoming. It's a very short walk to the beach which was fantastic. Many opportunities for short drives around - Point Clark, Kincardine. All in all, would highly recommend!

Found a little piece of paradise!!!!

Had never been to this part of Ontario and was not in any way disappointed. The property is exactly as listed and pictured. We were all very pleased with the cottage, the outdoor activities and the easy access to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are hoping to be able to book the same cottage next year. Can't wait to go back!!!

Spacious, well-equipped, lovely cottage

We very much enjoyed our stay at Blue Sky Cottage. There was lots of room for everyone inside and outside. Great fire pit and lots of spots for a quiet read or lively conversation. We brought a few things from home just in case, but everything we needed was already there. Ken was a great host too! Well maintained and comfortable for our multi-generational group. It took us a few days to find the short-cut to the beach, but we did find it. A map in the Welcome binder might have helped.

Vacation

We had a great time at Ken’s place. It was a great place for our family of 4. The bedrooms were all a great size and my preschooler loved the bunk bed. It was close to the beach (5min walk) and nice to be around other cottages. The beach was nice. You definitely need water shoes as it’s quite rocky when you first get in. As you further out, it’s sandy and decently shallow. Overall a great time!

We spent a very pleasant week at Blue Sky Cottage.

A lot of the regular attractions in the area were closed, given the circumstances, but we enjoyed daily trips to the beach, and nightly BBQs and campfires in the backyard. We had everything we needed, and there was lots of room for everyone. It's just a quick run into Kincardine if we wanted a change of scenery, or to check out some of the walking trails and local restaurants. We were looking forward to a relaxing week in a beautiful spot with family, and that's what we got. We had to reach out to Ken for a couple of things during the week, and he was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely return again!

Great Cottage for Families

This cottage set up is great for families. The 4 bedrooms are separate from the main living area with a half bath and there is a nice size mud room with a washer and dryer . The huge fenced yard provided more than enough space for games, bonfires and relaxing in the shade or sun. It is a quick walk to the beach or tennis court!

Awesome location

Awesome location, cottage and property is a great size for our group of 6. Cottage needs some TLC. Renters are responsible for cleaning at end of stay. Cleaners do come, I suspect they only do washrooms. Furniture and floors were covered in sand. Likely due to the vacuum cleaner not working. No cleaning supplies such as Lysol or toilet bowl cleaner to properly clean throughout our stay or on departure.

Excellent value in a modern clean cottage

The house was well maintained, clean and comfortable. There was ample room for the family to hang out and socialize, a screened in sunroom and porch made lounging outside enjoyable and pleasant. The owner was helpful and accommodating when we needed help with arrivals and departure details. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy Winter Getaway

We spent one night at this lovely cottage with 6 friends. The space was just what we needed - room to cook, play some games, watch a movie, chat together and sleep comfortably. Ken was helpful and accessible when we had questions. The neighbourhood was beautiful for a walk and the beach was close by. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Nice roomy 4 bedrooms cottage/ walk to the sand beach in a nice cottages/ homescommunauty

We really enjoyed this bedroom cottage with 1 1/2 bath. The cottage had a nice sunroom to put in our beach essentials and a big side entrance foyer. The kitchen table is very generous, big enough to sit 8 to 10 confortably. It also have a big back yard for the kids to play and trees for shade. It is lovelt for mornng or evening walks or bicycling. The walk to the beach is about a block and 1/2 with no hills to climb up or down.
