It truly felt like a home away from home—peaceful, private, and thoughtfully designed.The apartment has its own rear entrance to a spacious lower level in a charming, walkable neighborhood. It backs to a farm with beautiful views of a lake, swans, horses, and even emus—plus spectacular sunsets.Inside, everything was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The full kitchen had all we needed, and the open layout……

“Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. Again, very cool house but just think……

“I cannot say enough good things about the location of this cottage. St. Charles became one of my favorite places this weekend. The street this is on could only be improved if it were on the ocean. If you are a foodie you have to try Shay's Creole Smokehouse. I could eat it everyday.The cottage is small but has all the necessities you need, there was a wedding across the street Saturday evening during our stay and I thought it would keep us up all night but the rooms being on the backside prevent……
