Staff was nice but not many of them. Hotel was worn down, not maintained. Aircon didn’t work well. Nothing in the room. Overpriced for what you get. I won’t go again. There was also a cockroach in the bathroom- I realize this can’t be totally controlled but with everything else it didn’t help. Food was ok from kitchen. Overall disappointed for the price I paid. Rooftop pool was nice. But no service there- no towels…etc. kind of abandoned. Worth about 60-70/night

Good, clean option.

My two friends and I stayed here for one night twice on our way to and from our boat trip. The hotel was great! Clean room and comfy bed. The rooftop pool was beautiful.

Padang was amazing. With lots of interesting places to visit. I would definitely recommend axana hotel. The staffs were very helpful and apologetic sometimes.

Room 321 Poor aircon in room; switch didnt function well. Safety latch at entrance broken. Dripping tap near toilet bowl. Bath towels worn out. Good service by Puteri at reception. However on arrival at 3.00pm 19th Feb, check-in, needed to wait for nearly 90 minutes for all rooms to be ready.

Took 3 hours to get to the room. We were told most rooms are in the midst of cleaning. Eventually, got 1 room first after 2 hours of waiting. About to go to the room elevator broke down & had to wait for another hour. Quite a bad experience & may not want to consider to come to this hotel if we are here again.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter und wird zzt (10.2018) teilweise renoviert, dadurch kommt es zu einigen Einschränkungen der Annehmlichkeiten . Während unseres Aufenthaltes war das Hotel (angeblich) ausgebucht, da während dieser Zeit ein Kongress im Hause stattfand. Außerdem ist die Luftfeuchtigkeit während der Regenzeit sehr hoch und kann in den Zimmern nicht reduziert werden, da die AC nur bei Einstecken der Hotelcard funktioniert. Auf den Fluren keine Klimatisierung . Internet auf den Zimmern fast unmöglich

Basic rooms, overpriced, could be cleaner

Impressive lobby, nice roof-top pool with view and gym but actual rooms not really very good. I stayed in a "standard" room on the fifth floor. The hallway was grotty and in need of renovation. The room was also grotty with grime on the marble in the bathroom and writing desk. The AC didn't work very well so that setting it to 16C very slowly got it down to about 22C. Taped electrical wiring was showing beside the lighted mirror. Tthe shower recess did not drain towards the floor drain. This meant that there was always a pool of water which slowly seeped into the room and had ruined (warped and stained) the floating timber floor. Not a big deal, but an indication of need for renovation. Overall, good facilities, good breakfast, friendly staff, good location, but actual rooms (certainly the 'standard' ones) are in need of a very substantial renovation and upgrade and greater attention to detail by the exclusively young male cleaning staff. This left me feeling the room was relatively overpriced.
