"We had a lovely stay with our young golden retriever. Having a safe backyard without escape routes is great while he’s still learning. Nice and close to dog friendly beaches too. When he’s a bit older we will be able to take him on more little day trips too, but for now it was great to spend more time at a house that’s got all we needed. "

"While the place on the surface looks nice, the Captains Cottage was situated near service entrance which made early mornings noisy with trucks and drop offs and also near the bins. In addition the wifi was pretty much non existence and staff was not very helpful when we brought it up. Finally the place was a little damp - smelling a little mouldy especially near the kitchen/fridge area."

"The room was newly renovated and very nice. The staff were very friendly and said they had upgraded me to a newly renovated room. It would seem that most rooms have been renovated and the rest are going to be done, Gret to see the new owners retaining the bones of this beautiful old motel while refurbishing it tastefully"

"Beach view was obstructed, cabin had not been renovated, no seperate seating area, no dishwasher, no oven or barbecue and we had to wash amything that we wanted to use in the kitchen because everything was dirty or oily."
