We rented Beach Please 2! with a group of 10 other friends to get away from the city and celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday.
Pros:
We are all trying to be careful with COVID so the pool in the back with the TV was amazing to have! We spend the majority of our time out enjoying the pool and the back patio and there was plenty of seating for our large group. The men were able to watch sports out there, which they loved. We also loved the fact that there was a bin outside with some pool floats and even a shower to rinse the sand off.
The fact that the house was walking distance from the beach was an added bonus and it’s also just a few miles from the grocery and other shops. The inside of the house is also brand new and was very clean and modern, which was great. The appliances were all new and many of the bathrooms even had rain shower faucets in the shower. There were plenty of plates, glasses, and silverware to accommodate a large group.
Cons:
We did have issues 2 of the 3 nights with neighbors and the noise level. The homes in this area are very close together and we were unlucky enough to have neighbors who told us they had 22 people staying in their house and it certainly reflected in their noise level! There was a lot of marijuana smoke, strobe lights, and lots of noise coming from the house throughout the weekend. We did call the property manager Sat morning who was very accommodating and handled the issue. They calmed down for one night, but we ended up calling the police our last night bc the noise became a problem again. A minor problem, but we did have some difficulty with the freezer as it continued to have issues with freezing over to the point we couldn’t open it many times. Also, it would be nice to have some curtains in the Master Bedroom downstairs, which is very bright in the early morning hours! Lastly, the bathroom set up wasn’t ideal for those staying in the bunk room. Each of the full baths are inside the other bedrooms, so if someone in the bunk room needed to use the restroom in the middle of the night they’d have to go downstairs to use the 1/2 bath, which isn’t ideal. We made it work, but it would have been nice to have a door to one of the full baths for them to use upstairs so they didn’t have to go through other peoples bedrooms to shower.
All in all, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely rent again! Despite a few inconveniences, I think the value was well worth the money.
