Great Vacation Spot for All Ages

We have a timeshare in Daytona that was damaged by hurricane Milton and we had 3 days to figure out an alternate location. This place was very affordable and had everything we needed. The only down side is that off season begins in Sept so some of the amenities were closed. We will come here again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent vacation experience. Great condo with wonderful ocean view. Great restaurants and other activities. The only problem with the complex is too few elevators for number of people, however, that has been an issue for other condos where we stayed in the past. We do plan to come back to Lakefront.

Wonderful condo, elevators are a huge issue

The condo is exactly how described. It was beautiful and clean. Close to a lot of attractions. Beach was beautiful. The only reason why I cannot rate this condo a 5/5 is the elevators. Half of the elevators were down for maintenance at one time or another during our trip and with the amount of people staying at The Wharf, it was hard to get an elevator. We did take the stairs (13 floors) a couple of times due to the elevators being full. Would highly recommend the location and the condo if the resort could get the elevators up to par or add more to accommodate all of the people staying here.

Nice property but lacking some basics

This was a great property in a great location with a great view. Short walk to the beach and a great complex with nice pools. But it was partly ruined by the lack of basic amenities in the condo. Except to spend about $100 for basic things you’d expect in a condo. For instance, we had 7 people in the condo and were only given 1 roll of toilet paper and two trash bags for a full week. We asked for more but were told no. There wasn’t even salt and pepper or coffee filters. Other than that it was a great stay.

About the worse place I’ve ever stayed at

The condo itself was great. But the location is very disappointing. The elevators 😡 and no ice on any floors. And if this place caught on fire or if the stairs had to be used at night. No one would find the exit signs cause none of them work. The parking garage being supported by Jacks. No thank you. And the people that work there rude. Very very disappointed. Will tell others about this place I wouldn’t recommend it to house animals

My parents hated it

Our stay: 7/21/24 - 7/26/24 My overall impression was, fine. But my parents (mid 60s) hated it. We were pleasantly surprised with an early check-in. But were not in town yet. The lobby looked like a ghost town at 6pm and only had one luggage cart available. I read plenty of reviews that complained about the elevators, and they were correct. This condominium is huge! So the distance between parking garage, sluggish crowded elevators, rooms, and beach entrance was a bit too much for my parents. The room smelled like rotten eggs which we concluded was from the front loader washing machine. The a/c was struggling.

Belated graduation trip for Grandson

Check-in staff was great! Condo was as advertised, clean and as pictured; however the facility looked rundown in several places from lack of maintenance. Some areas were dirty and needed paint. Elevators were a nightmare with our unit being on the 13th floor. Advertised as a "family friendly" resort, but it was disturbing how many people were obviously drinking alcohol and exhibiting drunken behavior. My daughter said she was almost 50 years old and in all the many times we had rented condos in Florida, this was the first time she had smelled marijuana wafting from around the doors of the condos on the same floor as our unit. Very disturbing since our group was mostly teenagers 16-19. We will not rent from this property again, and would suggest to "families" especially ones with younger children, to look elsewhere.

My father is handicap and we waited 3 hours in the rain to get in our room and a hour of that past the time scheduled for us to check in. Then there were cobwebs in the ceilings, poor water pressure, and limited hot water.

Nice but needs some tweaks

First of all great room. Matched description perfectly. The room was not fully cleaned when we arrived. One bathroom had hair and other stuff on the floor. There was also no broom to sweep up whatever was on the floor. The ice maker to the refrigerator doesn’t work so you have to fill up ice trays all day long for ice. No ice machines on the property so that made it worse. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

Great place!

The condo was great and had plenty of sleeping space for different families. Balcony view is awesome and the beach is only right across the street. Elevators do suck though so if you're ever in a time crunch leave a little early. (Has nothing to do with owner of the condo just the resort itself) I would definitely stay again.

Worst vacation ever! NEVER AGAIN!

1.The check in process is ridiculous. There was no information provided on where to park or the best way to get your items to the room. 2. There are no luggage carts readily available. You must park on 1 of the 8 floors in the parking garage walk back down to the lobby, give your license to the employees behind the desk to hold while you use one of their luggage carts. You will then wait for the elevator to go back to the garage to load your items. 3. You cannot take an elevator from the parking garage to the floor your room is on. You have to drag your items through a breeze way and then wait 45 mins for 1 of the two tiny elevators that are available. Be prepared to wait as they are usually full by the time it gets to you. 4. Check in isn't until 4pm after the ridiculous wait for the elevators and dragging our luggage up 7 flights of stairs (because we were tired of waiting for the elevator) we finally made it to the room and settled in 2 and half hours after we arrived. 5. Woke up the very next morning to find that we had bed bugs. Absolutely disgusting. 6. Bagged a bug and took it downstairs to make the employees aware that we had an infestation. I was told to contact the property manager. Laketown Wharf could care less that one of their units had bed bugs. 7. Finally got ahold of book that condo. They sent the maintenance man to inspect it out. After his inspection he would need to call in the "professional" to confirm. NOT SURE why that wasn't the first response. It was another two days before the professional came to treat the room. We had to sleep with bed bugs for 2 days!! My dad had bites all over his back and legs!! I ran out of characters and couldn't provide the entire story.. in short I will never use VRBO to book another condo, I will never stay at a condo that is managed by book that condo, and I most certainly will never step foot back at Laketown Wharf! This has been the most stressful "vacation" of my life! If I didn't live 13 hours away I would have went home on day 1. What a complete waist of money! SO FRUSTRATING!

Great condo

We were impressed by the great quality of customer service at laketown wharf. Whenever there was an issue or question, we had a quick response and would even get a call the next day to make sure everything was going well with our stay. The unit was clean and overall very accommodating for my family. We enjoyed sitting on the deck but it was pretty loud with construction. Laketown wharf had great amenities (gym and many pools). There were many condos around us which made the beach very busy. We ended up going to the public beach access a few minutes down the road which was less crowded. Also, there were not as many elevators for the amount of rooms in the condo and had to wait more than 5 minutes to get on. A few times we ended up using the stairs because it was taking so long. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
