Great resort condo needs some TLC

The view and the resort are fabulous! Wouldn’t stay there again! But this unit needs some TLC for sure. The floors around the edges were just filthy. I could take a baby wipe and clean them. The master toilet rocked when you sat on it and it smelled very musty. Other than that we loved it there and we would def stay at Sunrise Beach Condos again!

Don’t expect some things

Beach access and beach chairs were great Do not expect hair dryers! Did not realize that there was not one provided until getting ready for dinner. When I inquired all I got was it was not listed as an amenity. Soooo.. be prepared unlike me. The shower in the guest bath is stuck on. I brought this to their attention the very first day and nothing was every fixes Plugs on one side of the living room do not work.

1006 is the worst

We have been staying at Sunrise Beach Resort for about 12 years, staying in several different units and we have never had such a horrible experience as we did staying in unit 1006. The thermostat was locked so the unit was an untolerable 70 degrees. Well, that doesn't sound bad, you say? Add to that the dehumidifier to 1006 was broken so our clothes were constantly damp. Sleeping was horrible because of this and add to that the horribly uncomfortable mattress and pillows with stains on them. The 1990 tube TV added to the poor hospitality. We had to buy our own hangers and there was little drawer space. The floor was so filthy, we could not go barefoot because our feet turned black. The freezer had no ice machine connected so we had no ice unless we purchased it. Then we find out they came in to spray the unit without notification. Shortly after this, we saw a roach. We saw at least 3 bugs before we departed. The bathroom sinks were clogged. The patio was in horrible condition and the furniture is very low budget dirty and rusty. Some of the towels were stained. We booked three condos this week and we had previously stayed in 1007 which had zero issues and was beautifully maintained. There were a few issues in 1107 but we tolerated those. We did have the manager pay us a visit. She was very pleasant and apologetic but there was little she could do. We observed the fact that we never had any issues when Wyndham owned the building. Since Vacasa took over, things have gone downhill. We paid a lot of money to stay here as we do every year. We got little back in return. So very disappointed and sorry we have recommended so many to SBR.

Love This Place

Great location only. Smile from Pier Park. Super close to everything you could want or need as well. The only bad thing I have to say is that o don’t think the floors were cleaned very well. On the first day there my feet were almost black on the bottom after walking barefoot on the tile floors.

Filthy room!

The view is wonderful. The room was filthy when we arrived on Sunday. We called and told them and it wasn't cleaned until the next day. Food on counters and floor. Bathrooms were dirty. Bed wasn't changed. We wanted to move to another condo but they claimed there were none empty. We have been coming to Sunrise Beach resorts for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience until now. We are considering not coming back. 1006 needs to be cleaned and updated. We left it cleaner than it was after they cleaned it. Very disappointed!

Sunrise Resort

The staff are very friendly and efficient. We have stayed at the resort twice in years past. However the room we stayed in this time does need some updating. Overall no complaints.

Will not stay again!

It was awful! The bed was hard the floor was softer! The couch was broke down! The only comfortable place to sit at in the condo was at the table.

Icemaker did not work, dirty towels in bathroom upon arrival, but they did reimburse me $50 for the aggravation of not having an ice maker! Other than that we enjoyed our vacation!

Great View

The pans where dirty when I went to cook breakfast and there wasn't enough forks for us, family of 4 and only 3 forks plenty of other silverware though. The remote to the tvs was wonky, 3 or 4 different remotes but only 1 worked for the bedroom and living room tvs. Other than these little issues no complaints! Definitely will stay again!

Worse stay at Sunrise Beach

I have stayed at Sunrise Beach every summer and fall for over 10 years. The condos and common grounds have been exceptional- nice furnishings and CLEAN. In COVID time, I expected the same but was not the case. Upon arrival, the floors were sandy, the dishes were put away but not clean, and the balcony door and balcony was covered in black mold. The living room furniture was so nasty I didn’t sit on it all week! The common areas were not maintained or as clean as my previous visits. The Vacasa personnel was exceptionally friendly.

Sunrise Condominium

I love the condo minor hiccups but that’s everywhere you go , love the master bedroom and bathroom . Place was great . Livingroom furniture could use a update , it had dirt stains all over orange recliner. Also top bunk bed collapsed on my little brother but overall it was a great trip. Will definitely be back to visit .

Not enough elevators

24 stories tall and only 4 elevators. Spent way too much time waiting on elevator. Room had worn out furniture including beds. Terrible stay!!
