“A beautiful property in a great location overlooking the Cliff Path Walk that takes you directly to Hermanus. A view to die for. During whale season - you can see whales out in the bay from your room. Wonderful and gracious service. Excellent breakfast’s and spectacular art work throughout the property. Was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was great and arranged all our area activities. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. ”

“Friendly reception staff, beautiful, spacious room and a delicious breakfast! Central location, which was ideal for the Fynarts Festival. Comfortable lounge on the ground floor for reading and relaxing.”

“The gentleman who greeted us was very helpful in explaining the check in and check out process. This is a very basic stay as a sleep over for your next journey. It was cold, as we stayed in June. However, the electric blanket made it all better. ”

“We had the best time at the Whale on Main! Communication was excellent, we were welcomed so warmly by the host (including a glass of Gluhwein!), and she even upgraded our room at no cost! Fantastic local recommendations, cute little honest bar, great reading options, and an OUTSTANDING breakfast cooked to order! “Zebra and Eland wild on the property. This was by far my Favorite hotel on our 2 week stay in South Africa from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Most beautiful views and the greatest staff! We ate dinner there and it was Amazing! This is a 5 star hotel! I would definitely stay here again! ”
