"I stayed at Seascape for three nights immediately after arriving from England as part of my one-month travels around Sri Lanka. It is a solid three-star property — fairly basic, and you generally get what you pay for — but it has one major advantage: location. Highlights: • The hotel is right on the beachfront. • The beach stretches for about 1 km and is beautiful, relatively wild, and not overcrowded. • Great for long walks and surfing. • Not overly developed, which makes it feel peaceful and authentic. • Staff were genuinely kind and helpful. • Breakfast was good and enjoyable each morning. Things to note: • Rooms are simple and functional. • I experienced a slight drainage smell in the room, though it wasn’t overwhelming. • Dinner was underwhelming on both evenings I ate there — quite basic and slightly overcooked. I would recommend going out for dinner instead, as there are better options nearby. Overall, if you are looking for beachfront access, a relaxed atmosphere, and good value at a three-star level, this is a reasonable option. Just manage expectations regarding room standard and dinner quality. "
