Because it was less hot than usual, there was plenty of time for cycling, walking and visiting the local market in Mirepoix. Kim and Duncan are very hospitable, as is Buddy the dog. In addition to a pleasant chat, they are happy to tell you all about the area and have plenty of tips and tricks.For anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, I would definitely recommend this...

「We had a relaxing week in the gite. We explored during the day and enjoyed coming back and having swim and sharing a meal together at home in the gite. Limoux is a good spot if you prefer to eat out and has good supermarkets. The hosts were great .」

We loved our car tour around the Cathar castles perched on hilltops and a walk up to (if not in places, scramble) the castle ‘ Peyrepeteuse’ with simply amazing views. 「Villa was lovely and very well equipped. Outside space was poorer, the area around the pool was rough and unfinished. Garden at back was full of weeds. Contact with the owner was by text which was answered quickly but he was not in the country and we had no contact number for his on site representative as we missed her on arrival due to being delayed. Our first night was spent listening to a bleeping burglar alarm which we couldn’t stop and the owner was unable to help us. Fortunately it stopped...
