"Staff were great, location and restaurants were good. It is a smaller Resort, 2 restaurants, one pool,3 bars (close at 10pm). But there are many good Restaurants and bars outside of the Restaurants. Even though we tip all staff, we had one server at the bar and one at the restaurant, that always said "just leave your tip under the receipt", one even always wrote the word "tip" with a smiley face. Ive been to lots of all inclusives DR, Cuba, Mexico, cruise Ships and this is the first time we have ever been reminded. Other than that the location of the resort was great with the option of breakfast, All inclusive or room only. "

"Our room was very nice. It was very clean and comfortable. We were on the far side so it was quiet and peaceful just as we hoped for! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and efficient. The all-inclusive buffets could have been a bit more nicer with better and more food selection. The other restaurants shouldn’t have charged up charges on food. We were also there for their NYE party and it was NOT handled very properly getting people seated. It took almost 1 hour to get seated. We were not happy at all ! But all in all staying at Villa del Palmar was very nice and we would stay again."

"Our room was great, with a beautiful view. We loved have the hot tub on the balcony. Liked that it was close to downtown and Walmart. Staff and service were good except for the few times they tried to get us to their timeshare presentation but they backed off once we stood firm on not being interested. Never had an issue finding a lounge chair at any of pools and access to the beach was easy. Also the spa and their staff was really great. Will definitely be going back. "

"When we arrived at the resort, they upgraded our room since I’m a Gold Member and it was absolutely beautiful, with an amazing ocean view. The two restaurants we tried were delicious: the Italian restaurant and the Mexican spot (you do need a reservation for the Italian restaurant). The buffet, however, wasn’t as good. The staff throughout the property were excellent, everyone was genuinely kind, helpful, and welcoming. And for New Year’s, the fireworks show was incredible! I’d definitely recommend visiting over New Year’s."
