Lovely stay at The Mains.

Lovely stay at The Mains. It’s a little bit old fashioned inside but very roomy and comfortable. It’s close to Penrith for shopping and park run! Also easy to get to Keswick and Ullswater but Lowther Castle is also a nice place to visit.The owner lives next door and is very friendly and helpful.The house is warm and has a lively range cooker and the kitchen is well equipped apart from scissors! We didn’t make use of the facilities as we ate in but there is a pub and restaurant nearby and local shop and PO. Also has a nice garden which we never got round to sitting in.
