It was close to campus, restaurants and shops as well as beautiful Kankakee River State Park. The rental was welcoming and nicely decorated and provided all the amenities and comforts needed. “This was a great location for my visit to Kankakee. Lots of restaurant and store options. The staff was very helpful and kind. I booked my trip through Expedia, and I booked a king bed room, but the hotel was kind enough to call me back to notify me that Expedia overbooked the room and they were able to offer a different option for me if I was okay with that. Which I was very happy, thankful, and greatful for that. Hotel also had a great breakfast option. ”

“This is where I stay when traveling with my 80+ year old mother. There is a single step up from the back parking lot into the apartment then everything is level. The neighborhood is quiet even though I saw numerous children. Gas, groceries, and shopping are close. Clean and well stocked. We will absolutely stay here again.”

“This is a nice and cozy property. Owner was responsive. But it was missing some basics like no coffee, no sugar or salt. Moreover, there was only 1.5 bathroom with no locks. Bathrooms did Not have soaps or shampoo. Pool was very nice and clean. Outdoor landscape was pretty. Online property descriptions said it sleeps for 10. But it only had bed for 6 people.”

“First and foremost Dan was an amazing host who was very hospitable and was just next door if we ever needed anything. The property was as described in the listing and worked out very well for our party of five adults. Everything was ready for us as we arrived and there were even some welcome snacks on the kitchen island counter. I recommend this lake cottage to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway as it's only about an hour away from Chicago. Thanks Dan and we really enjoyed our stay at……

“The apartment was nicely furnished! The neighborhood was quiet. Stayed in the spring. Wasn’t at the apartment much other than to sleep. Enjoyed some local eats within a couple of miles.”

“The room was just an average older room. It could use some fixing up, carpet is obviously pretty old, the bathroom could use some renovations. Pool/hot tub needed a good scrubbing. Wasn't terrible, just wasn't spectacular either. ”
