The house was absolutely gorgeous - the photos do not do it justice. Decorated in very understated elegant taste, large airy spaces to shelter from the heat, very comfortable beds (even my 9 year old commented on how comfortable his single bed was). The house is situated in a lovely setting, incredibly quite and peaceful but will large supermarkets a 10mins drive away that stock everything you might need. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa and would most certainly return.

La villa est magnifique, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, pleine de charme, très spacieuse dedans et dehors, la literie est excellente et le calme royal. Par contre, la maison n'ayant plus été occupée depuis des mois (covid oblige), certains problèmes électriques (prises, ampoules, interrupteurs) doivent être réparés, le gaz n'était pas branché et l'eau chaude pas entièrement branchée non plus. Nous n'avons pas été accueilli (clé sous le paillasson) et avons donc manqué de quelques explications pratiques au départ. La maison était malheureusement aussi très sale à l'arrivée. Il faudrait donner plus de précisions sur l'adresse et où se trouve l'entrée car nous avons eu du mal à trouver l'endroit.

We had a great vacation at Villa Le Houga. The villa is a large and nicely restored country side house, which is very quiet and secluded. The house itself has ample space and is well equipped. There are two very large double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, with several traditional-style bathrooms. There is one showerroom, which we all used for showering. The pool is good size and well maintained. There are sufficient lounge chairs around the pool, as well as garden chairs on both terraces. There is a tabletennis table and two bikes. There is a separate building with another bedroom available. The kitchen is big and properly equipped with two refrigerators, a microwave and a nice gas stove. We stayed there while it was very hot outside, so we did have to manage the heat a bit by using the outside shutters by closing them during the day and opening the windows at night as there is no AC. There is a satellite TV although the available channels are limited but there are ample games, novels and hobby books in the TV and reading room. Our arrival was well organized as the key was available upon arrival. Upon departure we could use the same method before leaving, such that we did not have to meet anyone, which was great given the social distancing. The only creatures we saw were some cats, which we fed by using the available cat food. Sarah took good care of us while there, checking up on us and following up on any email that we sent. There is some local tourist information available on the desk downstairs with a good baker in Le Houga and some shops in nearby Nogaro.

Friendly reception by the caretakers. We could arrive before the time mentioned on the arrival document, which was very convenient for shopping for supplies for the week. The house itself is fabulous. A lot of space both inside as outside. Great pool with plenty of sunny and shady spots around it. Comfy beds in all rooms.
