“If you are looking for quite/off the beaten path stay in the Patoka Lake, French Lick, Santa Clause, Marengo &/or Southern Indiana areas... this is your place. Remote cabin that is clean, out of the way and pleasantly hosted by Tim & his wife. Deer galore in the area so your drive back to the cabin is recommended to be SLOW on the roads but truly no biggie and easily navigable. Host is extremely accommodating in every way!”

“It is a very cozy cabin as marketed, there were a few things that need updating in order to justify the price.1. Microwave doesn't work well2. First floor AC doesn't get cold and screeches after a little while.3. A lot of light bulbs were burnt out.4. Smoke detector didn't work and had no batteries.5. Almost not paper towels, toilet paper, or hand soap were available.6. Queen bed was advertised, but it was a full bed.7. Broken blinds throughout and missing on some or not covering the full……

“Very nice stay. We were there during a heat wave but stayed cool inside the cabin. Very quiet and remote. Would like to return when it's cooler to take advantage of outdoor activities!”

“It is very clean and has everything you need if you wish to cook; there is a BBQ grill set up on the outdoor patio and a fire pit area—it’s spectacular at night. It is a very peaceful spot if you value privacy, and the area around the cabin is well-kept with the grass neatly mowed. There is plenty of space for children to play, and board games are available. I highly recommend it; Julie was the contact person, and they respond quickly to messages, showing they are attentive, available, and truly……

“The solitude and beauty of this location cannot be emphasized enough. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, even though civilization isn't too far away. The fireflies should be on the brochure. Our one complaint would be the cooking situation. I think the controls on the oven are broken, and the small kitchen is sparsely equipped, and one of the pans was badly burned before we even got there. I would suggest eating out. The fire hot tub is heavenly. Squire Boone Caverns was better then……

“This cabin is absolutely beautiful, clean & in a great location to Patoka Lake, the winery & brewery. The host was great too work with & check-in was easy. We've already has other request to know where we stayed.”

“The second time I visited this same place. Always makes me happy to set the phone down and live life one moment at a time and hear the sounds of nature as its scheduled program.”

“Derby time never disappoints! We love every stay here. 44th wedding anniversary this year.”
