“We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely house. There was plenty of room to relax. The heated in ground salt water pool was a great spot to unwind at the end of the day. We enjoyed walking to the Lubec Brewing Company and local shops. I would recommend that visitors bring their passports as the bridge to Campobello Island is so close! We hope to rent again next year!”

“PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT. Excellent lakefront property. Hoise is well loved and cared for. Very clean. Plenty of outdoor area to run around. The penisula is a great spot for morning sunrises and catching some photos of loons. Many kayaks to enjoy time on the lake, laumch right fromt the beach. Plenty of indoor activities as well. The owners thought of everything when preparing the home for vacationers. There was not one time cooking that we didnt have what we needed. Kitchen is well stocked……

“9 of us came from out of the country to shoot some photos of the stars out near Acadia National Park; Connie's house was lovely and a good place to call home base. Only thing we were not too keen on were the sleeping situations, as some of us had to double up on the beds, but the listing says that 11 are able to sleep comfortably. A more accurate listing of the available beds would be ideal, but it was only a minor inconvenience that we worked through. Connie was very helpful and eager to help,……

“Kudos to Host Mary!!! Excellent accommodations!!! Charming, comfy, convenient to restaurants and shopping in Eastport. The house is beautifully decorated with ample seating inside and outside on the spacious porch. Especially appreciated how well equipped the house was right down to tissues in every room! The kitchen had everything you could need or want. The selection of wine glasses was a perk.”

I don't think there could be a better viewpoint from the American side. There are at least three lighthouses which can be seen from the house, and both the rising and setting of the sun. And then there's the Bald Eagle which likes to sit on Dog Island and think about life for hours every day.”

“This home was outstanding in ALL aspects. First of all, communication with the host both before we arrived and during our stay was so friendly and heartfelt. She did everything possible to make us feel at home ranging from a welcome gift, to telling us how wonderful it was to spend time on the deck and where to find citronella candles, cushions for the chairs,etc. The kitchen was so well stocked with many appliances, dishes, pots and pans, spices and much food. “Best part is the location, a large deck overlooking Johnson Bay--seals, loons, scoters, and other birds. Close to downtown Lubec, Campobello Island, West Quoddy lighthouse and trails, and the amazing network of trails developed by Cobscook Shores and other land trusts. We had a few snafus checking in and getting the wi-fi set-up, but our host Angela was very responsive and prompt in getting things fixed up and provided us lots of information of things to do.
