Christmas break
Absolutely fantastic stay for the Christmas period!!! The most comfortable we have ever been during a cottage holiday. The owners have really thought about the home comforts. The chritmas tree and decorations were beautiful!! Nearby to the surrounding villages. We highly recommend The Byres and are planning on returning again later this year.

A lovely home from home
A lovely stay clean and comfortable
The owners left us a lovely welcome box and we had everything we needed for a self catering stay
They went above and beyond to make our stay a good one
Elmley castle is a lovely little village with a nice pub very quiet and rural
It does mean a fair bit of driving to explore the most popular Cotswolds villages but Broadway is close by. Would recommend

Wonderful short-break
We can't recommend The Byres highly enough. The cottage was so comfortable, clean and well-presented. Every detail was catered for and made our holiday very enjoyable. Located in a very pretty Cotswold's village with an inviting pub at the end of a scenic walk through the surrounding hills. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful place to stay
We had a short break - Monday to Friday staying at The Byres from 10 November 2025. What a wonderful find this was. The barn is absolutely stunning with lots of home from home touches including, dishwasher tablets, coffee pods and even some milk and cookies. Our dog loved roaming the beautiful secure garden, if he went missing we’d find him in the main bedroom looking out at the pond in the garden of the main house.
Elmsley Castle is a lovely village we used the pub The Queen Elizabeth for dinner one evening and had a wonderful breakfast there the next morning. The barn is ideally situated for visiting the villages and towns in the Cotswolds - you do need a car for getting about.
All in all we had a fantastic stay, Samantha was very welcoming and helpful. If we and when we visit the Cotswolds again we would definitely look to stay here again.

What a gem of a property. Fabulous location in a chocolate box village. It provided all we needed and the massive garden was a absolute delight for our spaniel.
The local pub was welcoming and served good traditional meals.
Walking from the barn was in abundance.

Good location for exploring.
We had a wonderful pre Christmas break at The Byers, Elmley Castle myself my husband and our little westie.
The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, good quality furnishings and very warm and cosy there was a lovely Christmas tree and some decoration also.
The Byers is a very good location to explore The Cotswolds with Broadway less than a 10 minute drive away beautifully decorated for Christmas, with a great selection of shops, bars and cafes.
The local pub The Queen Elizabeth Inn is a 5 minute walk from the cottage that is a not for profit pub, restaurant and cafe owned by a group of locals, good food, good choice of drinks and a great atmosphere.
The only point I would like to make is that the cleaners had left a descale bag in the kettle which we were completely unaware of and after making a cup of tea on arrival we felt very sick, it wasn’t noticeable in the bottom of the kettle so just be aware……..
We also had trouble connecting to the WiFi on arrival but after a quick phone call someone came and we were reconnected.
We had a lovely week at the Byres, its is a superb cottage & was ideal for the 3 of us (elderly Mum, me & partner). We especially loved the gorgeous, quiet, private garden, a perfect place to sit out in and enjoy BBQs.
The Queen Elizabeth Inn is very convenient & great for beers and excellent food, with friendly staff.
The barn is in close proximity to the key Cotswolds villages as well as many other attractions.
It was an excellent choice and we would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Cottage
Loved our weeks stay at The Byres, Elmley Castle, its centrally heated which makes it extremely comfortable.
Also the fact we could do some washing is a great benefit
The Byres is in a quaint little village although no shops only The Queen Elizabeth Arms which serves fabulous food.
You definitely need a car to drive to the scenic towns of the Cotswolds

Beautiful home in the heart of the country
We loved every minute of our stay at the Byres. The property was clean, comfortable and had a personal feel. The town itself was quiet, but the surroundings were wonderful, with country fields and beautiful landscapes on the doorstep. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. We would really recommend this property, especially at Christmas time when it is beautifully decorated for the festive season! Thank you.

Lovely relaxing holiday
Had a midweek break at The Byres, beautiful cottage, comfy furniture, very stylish too. Lovely bathrooms, plenty of storage.
The cottage looks out onto beautiful gardens, and a good private driveway. The village of Elmley Castle is small with a pub, village hall ( which had its “market” on when we were there! With local produce) a church and beautiful Cotswold houses. Only four miles or so from Broadway, six from Pershore and Evesham. We have been coming to the Cotswolds for thirty years, and it didn’t disappoint this time.

A Wonderful Stay at The Byres, Elmley Castle
We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Byres in Elmley Castle and had an absolutely fantastic time.
One of the standout features of the property is the wonderfully spacious living area. It provided ample room for relaxing and socializing, making it feel like a true home away from home. We also loved the stunning garden – it was beautifully maintained and a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful Cotswolds atmosphere.
The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Elmley Castle itself is charming, and we found it easy to visit many great attractions and picturesque villages nearby.
Overall, our experience at The Byres was exceptional. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and beautiful base for their Cotswolds holiday. We certainly hope to return!
StayCotswold were great also great to deal with, responsive and friendly - Thank you!

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful location
I stayed in this lovely accommodation for 4 nights with my elderly mum. It was perfect for her mobility issues-all on one level, no steps, walk-in shower. The furniture and furnishings are gorgeous lots of nice little touches, like the Plum & Ashby reed diffusers, which smell amazing. The kitchen is well equipped, although we ate out most of the time. (The Queen Elizabeth I pub is just around the corner and fully deserves the good reviews it gets). The beds are comfy and towels fluffy. We met the owners, who are very nice and very helpful. The weather stopped us from sitting in the beautiful garden, but we admired it from the comfort of the sofa! The property (which has parking) is not far from Broadway and the other pretty villages. My only tiny gripe, was that when I booked it, I asked for the twin beds to be pushed together to make a king, but they weren't. I emailed the Property Manager twice before we went away, and left a message on their answerphone, requesting a call back, but I never heard anything. I called StayCotswold, who were very helpful and said they would investigate the matter. 5* stay, we had a great time and I would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic cottage is a beautiful village
This is probably one of the best cottages I have stayed in. It was spacious and very comfortable and extremely well resourced. There was a large enclosed garden which would have been amazing if I had brought my dog. You would need a car to get around but there were many beautiful and interesting things to see within 30 minutes of the cottage...and far too many for just one week. The village boasted a great pub only a few minutes from the cottage door too.

Fantastic Place to Stay
What a fantastic place to stay! Elmley Castle is a charming village with a good pub within easy walking distance of the property, a quiet base from which to explore the many Cotswold towns and villages, all within easy reach by car. The property itself is beautifully presented and furnished to a high standard, providing everything you could possibly want in a holiday home from home. With great outside space to the rear it provides privacy and tranquility, perfect for winding down at the end of the day. The owners live on site and were very accomodating, but never imposing.
We'll definitely be back next time we visit the Cotswolds.

Stay at The Byres
Stayed for a week in very hot weather. Fans provided and lovely shady seating area in peaceful garden much appreciated. Beautiful barn conversion was high spec and very well equipped. Location was perfect with Worcester, Tewkesbury, Stratford Upon Avon and Cotswolds villages all easily reached in around a 30 minutes drive. Lovely quiet and private setting with own parking area in village with pub serving great food a 5 minute walk away. Good supermarkets a very short drive away, Waitrose was our favourite! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

A true magical find!
What can I say..Everything about our stay was absolutely magical. From the moment we walked into the barn, we were taken aback by how stunning it was. It’s spacious, light and breezy and decorated with incredible taste. It’s super clean and little touches like providing hand wash, sponges and dishwasher tabs was fab. The coffee pods and biscuits were also very welcome .
The beds were super comfy, the towels were fluffy and the garden was big and we enjoyed sitting out having a bbq on our first night.
We took a stroll around the local village which is super sweet, and there are plenty of attractions near by which you can reach by car.
If you want a tranquil & luxurious stay, this is for you and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
