Domus Volumnia was an absolutely beautiful property. The view from the pool area was stunning, and the staff were incredibly helpful.

This was a terrific Country Inn with a beautiful garden area, pool and veranda overlooking the beautiful Italian countryside. We didn't know that their restaurant closed Sept. 14 for the season but we enjoyed dinners in the nearby city of Perugia.

Beautiful Hotel, very well kept, with very warm staff. I took my parents here so that they could visit Assisi (Also very beautiful). Breakfast was good: panini pressed my sandwiches :D. Would like to come back in the summer time and try out the pool. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff

A beautiful place! Lovely garden, a nice, clean pool and very good food. The personell was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are so charming and spacious. We will recommend it to anyone going to the area.

Beautiful country house with stunning views and beautiful gardens . My room had a spa tub that was perfect after a long day of exploring nearby Assisi and Perugia. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and cappuccinos. Grounds offer many spots to sit, relax and take in the views. Although the house is located on a main road ( traffic noise during the day) it was very quiet at night.

This hotel was a real gem. We booked for 4 people and had a great suite with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen/living area with a sofa bed - great for a family with older teens who prefer not to share! Pool and surroundings were lovely, breakfast tasty and staff friendly and helpful. Food was very good but not a lot of options for very fussy eaters, however plenty of options nearby (by car). I would love to come back here!

The owners are very engaged in the day to day maintenance and operations of the inn (grounds, facilities, services). They are also very active in a number of programs to enhance the properties look and services features (such as the addition of a cabana refreashments area near the pool). The location of the in is ideal for quick local trips into Perugia and motorways to other cities in Umbria and Tuscany. The supportstaffare very courteous and helpful. The cleaning team does an excellent daily job - tailored to the guests requests.

Struttura bellissima, circondata dal verde. Sicuramente offre il meglio di sè in estate, con i suoi splendidi spazi all'aperto, ma resta una chicca anche in primavera, grazie alla location molto suggestiva e al contesto in cui è immersa. Il signor Rossano, i suoi figli e tutto il personale sono gentili, accoglienti e sempre sorridenti. Camera pulitissima, arredata con gusto. Il bagno con l'enorme vasca idromassaggio una vera coccola. Prima colazione impreziosita da dolci fatti in casa. Arricchirei il buffet offrendo più frutta fresca ed eviterei il raggaeton di sottofondo di prima mattina, ma siamo nell'ambito dei miei gusti personali. Posizione eccellente, a pochissimi minuti di auto da Perugia e a 20 da Assisi. Esperienza che ripeterei e che consiglio.

This hotel would be great for families stopping in for for a respite during a road trip. It was not too far off the highway and also not too far from city center. The beds were okay - and it definitely has a “budget” feel which seemed it was appropriate for the cost. It’s nothing fancy for sure. The pool was very nice. The location could be slightly loud at times due to noise of cars driving by. Our biggest complaint is that the property was under extreme renovation when we went; Orbitz did say that the hotel may be undergoing renovation, however, this was MAJOR construction with wires everywhere, heavy machinery, unsafe walking conditions, rubble everywhere, and the hotel should not have been open and allowed to serve guests during this time. Breakfast was awful to sit with the sound of heave construction machinery at 8am. We had stopped in for a rest along our road trip, but if I had been there to relax and unwind for more than 1 night, we would have had to find other accommodations. The staff were mostly friendly but could definitely put a little more effort into the small points of customer service - nobody was there to greet us at check in for 5 minutes, then in the morning they offered breakfast but didn’t provide any kind of information on what we could choose from. I also did write the hotel asking for a chocolate shop recommendation and never got a response. Overall the hotel served its purpose and we had a mostly restful nights sleep.

The location was convenient, 10 minutes drive to the centre of Perugia and only 15 minutes from the airport in Perugia. The owner who does the cooking does not speak English and trying to explain what we wanted for breakfast for our small child was impossible. The food is a bit expensive and they automatically charge E4 service for a tiny order. This may be standard for Italy. We could hear a lot of noise from the owner's residence from our room. No complimentary water for the room. Our car broke down and the owner's husband charged us a taxi fee to take us to the garage in town to replace the car. We won't be returning.

Beautiful place, very welcoming owners, loved the pool and gardens especially, very well maintained. Be aware this is self catering and there is nothing within walking distance. Wasnt the right place for us with infants as there are so many stairs, no hairchair, bathtub etc and a travel cot was 20E a night! But lovely place for older families or couples, and people with dogs
