This newly remodeled cottage sits in the shadows of the old Thunder Mountain Ski Area. Plenty of room for relaxing after a great day of adventures skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking or enjoying the area lakes. This 60's era ski-chalet offers the convenience of Boyne Mountain with added access to thousands of acres of state land next to the Gaylord State Forest Area. Perfect base camp for your next Up North adventure. This chalet is close to everything but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere! Bring the family and friends. This home sleeps 10. New additions: Washer/dryer added and new gas fireplace.

Great location for Golf getaway
The stay at this property was great. Had everything we needed for a group of 4. I recommend this location if you want to do a golf getaway. Located right in the middle between the Boyne courses and Gaylord courses.

Great getaway for family time
We enjoyed the stay at the cottage. Plenty of firewood and clean towels. Glad to have the AC upstairs. Had an issue but was taken care of very fast. Great place to stay and great hosts. few webs and dust bunnies but overall very nice. thanks so much!

A Great Stay!
We spent a few days at this cabin, eight of us total. There was plenty of room for all of us and we really didn't have any trouble navigating the one bathroom situation. We were able to relatively easily travel to Charlevoix, Mackinac Island, and Traverse City. They weren't "close", but all within an hour which was fine by us. Overall the place was pretty clean. We were able to enjoy both inside and outside quite a bit. The kitchen was a bit tight but we were able to cook a few meals for eight people. No problem. The living room was plenty big for all of us. The kids had plenty to do between the puzzles, games, and TV. Only downside to me: I had a ton of food going on the propane grill only to have it run out about 15 minutes in. I was able to bring the food in the house to cook, but it was still a bummer. They really have thought of a lot, just would be nice to have a spare tank on-hand for future guests. Management was very responsive and the owner actually brought another tank that night around 9:30, so a lot of credit for that. The other thing...if you stay here make sure you screen capture/print the check-in/access instructions. I was not aware there was no service on the property, so I couldn't access the directions on the app. Had to drive back out to a main road to get service again. Anyway, a great place to stay. Recommended!
