I felt like this hotel existed for the enjoyment of the guest, rather than for the almighty dollar. Slept great; breakfast delightful; interesting pictures and historical information on the hallway walls, a marvelous building and setting. Can’t wait to return.

Unfortunately I would have given them 5 stars until I realized that the bathroom had urine stains on the wall and floor. Otherwise everything was fine. Continental breakfast was delicious, parking was easy and staff were friendly and helpful.

Rooms need work, and a deep clean..there was mold in the bathroom shower, the shower door handle was lose, the hair dryer plug was broken apart, the mattress had a stain that was flipped onto the bottom and there was an odor that either the mattress or the pillows gave off. The location of the hotel is great for food.

I love this hotel. It's my go-to when I travel to Phila. Thoughtful amenities include 3 things I look for: a cozy bathrobe, a good wall-mounted shaving/makeup mirror in the bathroom, and a good coffee machine in-room (a Nespresso!) The free breakfast room is charming and has a good selection of food. Situated in the heart of the Chestnut Hill shopping and dining district, there is plenty to do right in the neighborhood, which is very safe and walkable. (I used to live near here.)
