Miami Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science Hotels

"We came to Miami for an overnight to see Lady Gaga Mayhem Ball. We arrived during a blinding rainstorm to find the lobby of the hotel SRO. They have a strict 11am check-out and 4pm check-in policy. As the rain stopped some folks headed out. We and 7 other parties hoping for early check-in remained in the lobby. Two were families with young children and the rest—like me—were elderly. We sat all day. At 3:30pm some airline stewards came in and were given rooms. At that point—several of us stormed the front desk with one man screaming at the manager—a stone faced young woman. We were able to check-in—shower and have our dinner before the show. The room itself was fine—it was small but comfortable for our needs. Surely they could have prepared seven rooms for those of us sitting in the lobby. We did not feel welcome as a result. "

"Great scenic location in port area on the river. Shuttle service offered to cruise port for small fee.There was a nice breakfast with many choices hot and cold. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Walking distance to mall area for shopping / eating. My only issue was the extremely loud party boats on the river at all hours (spring break) which is not the hotels fault. "

"Unfortunately I had to switch rooms when I arrived because something black covered the molding in the bathtub. There was also a clicking noise coming from the vents. The vending machine on my floor was not working, and the hallway walls needed to be painted due to scratched off paint. Lastly, my linen on my bed was stained when they switched me to a new room. Although the physical condition of the hotel was not great, the staff were very welcoming and kind. "

"The room is extremely small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Downstairs has a lot of work stations."

"- messy check in- tough to locate entrance with all the construction - was not aware this was a rental in a residential apartment building - rental front desk people were very new and not aware of processes - electronic lock that did not work correctly tough to access the room - NO HOT WATER -furniture was very hard uncomfortable - no hand soap - no ice - no tv channels - I believe the high reviews are paid by the property - would not recommend "

"My first stayed was for 2 nights only, then I decide to add one more, so I tried to make the check out through the room phone, and it was not working at all, so I had to go in person, and later in the afternoon I found the housekeeper in front of my room asking me why I’m on the room?… so there was no communication between the staff about the transaction, I felt so disappointed cause she was looking at me like I was lying. "

"The location was perfect for a concert night at Kaseya. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants and bars. Convenient parking garage; for the location, I’d say the price is almost worth it. But there was no soap in the shower, there was construction going on outside and we got into bed and found a huge stain on one of the blankets. Plus staff is very dry. Good, not great. For one night we made it work."
