GCU Family Found Home Away from Home

We stayed here while picking our daughter up from GCU at the end of the year. This home was close enough to campus that she could come back and forth to wrap up the last week of school without the stress of extended travel time; yet we could enjoy evening walks with our dogs in a lovely, quiet neighborhood just far enough away from campus. I was overjoyed by how well kept and CLEAN this home was for allowing pets...it was SPOTLESS inside and out. The backyard was very private, the pool and back porch perfect for relaxing...I miss the cooing of the doves already. The home itself was well stocked and after a quick grocery store run, we literally had everything we needed at our fingertips. The beds were comfortable and I'm super picky about pillows! Our daughter has 2 years of school left and this is new favorite Phoenix hideaway, looking forward to returning this fall!

John was wonderful!!! We came to Phoenix for an appt at the Mayo, ended up with my husband needing emergency brain surgery. We had to switch houses in the middle of our stay to accommodate more family and John made the switch so easy. I cannot say enough good things about John and Sasha. Highly recommend the Encantado home - it is definitly a diamond. The pool area is so relaxing. Thank you John for all the work you did!

Rodents!!! We caught a rat!!!

Stay started of as advertised, easy communication, great location, nice pool. We even ended up extending our stay because our house is being worked on and wasn’t ready. That’s when the issues started. I noticed that some of the food on the counter in packaging had been gotten into. I tossed that and then the next night a tomato was shredded in half. With chards across the kitchen counter leading to the fridge area. I notified the host and they apologized, but when you have a rodent in the house, action is better than an apology. Send the pest company out asap, have an employee come set traps. Do something. My wife herself purchased traps and we sent them up. Sure enough, it caught a rat and the rat fell into the sink. From 11:30 at night till our departure the next day, the rat loudly banged in the sink. So to accompany our frustration with the experience we were also sleep deprived…….2nd issue, during our stay the pool progressively got murkier and murkier. The house manual states the pool cleaner comes on Thursdays, but the pool was never serviced, thus is not wanting to swim for half of the stay…..also the back gate had a lock and it was removed after our first night, the host did say that it’s only for the pool cleaners, but I thought it was weird since the pool wasn’t serviced. So with no lock the back yard is easily access by the flip of a gate latch. The rear gate is adjacent to the sidewalk. As a father a more secure area would leave a better peace of mind.

The beds were great, the house was gorgeous, kitchen was actually stocked with pots and pans and the things you actually need to cook, the coffee shop around the corner "Luanas coffee and beer" was a fantastic start to our days and the pool was amazing. Honestly this was a fantastic stay.

Great property close to Barrow Institute

I rented this property because my husband had to have surgery at the Barrow Institute in Phoenix. Great location...only 5 minutes away. Quiet neighborhood and the pool was such a bonus!!! Any questions I had were quickly answered by the host. I recommend this VRBO.

Warm and inviting stay. Calm quiet neighborhood.

This is a very welcoming home in a quiet neighborhood. As the photos show there are many amenities to enjoy while staying. Ample number of smart TVs throughout the home is generous. New appliances - kitchen & laundry. We had access to garage for parking our vehicle - very convenient. Access to pool with lounge chair. Barbecue (unfortunately did not make time to grill - too busy with our activities). Some considerations: If you are traveling with someone with limited mobility, the bathroom accesses could be challenging.
