「Beautiful spot, but difficult to access without a rental car. We were travelling on foot/train/bus and we had to rely solely on the 2 or 3 taxis in the township. The walk was ok downhill, but very arduous going back (We're in our 70's). We chose Varenna as it much more affordable than Ballagio, and the views are simply breathtaking. With a car, this would have been perfect, but we also found that the locals were very accommodating and actually took us home in their own vehicles a few...

「Tolle Wohnung, tolle Lage, ziemlich ruhig, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Für uns perfekt! Garage ist etwas schwierig mit größerem Auto, aber kostenfrei Parkplätze in nächster Nähe. Sehr nette Vermieter, gute Infos (allerdings englisch). Top Adresse!」

「Wir hatten insgesamt einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Haus. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist top. Ebenso hat uns der Tennisplatz und der große Pool sehr gut gefallen. Kleine negative Punkte waren der recht kleine Balkon und ein Hund in der Nachbarschaft, der nachts oft bellte.」

「Perfect place. Great views. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We even did some laundry. Make sure you eat at the Al Prato Restaurant, too. We Will definitely stay here again. In our opinion, the best location to base out of on Lake Como. 」

「The villa is just the right size for a couple or small family. It’s perfectly located in Varenna and easy walking distance to everything. The owners are wonderful, met us to take us to the property and provide several nice amenities. They also checked in on us to make sure we were okay and provided several options for things to do and places to eat. Would highly recommend if you want a true Italian experience.」
