“The owner let us check-in early and it was a very easy process. He was helpful. He even had to explain how to work the TV remote not once but twice as it nearly brought us to our knees. We never thought to turn the TV on via a light switch. The owner showed and we had a good laugh as being new TVs the company installed them with the light switch turn on and did not tell the owner. I believe said it took about 3 weeks to work out the bugs. The remote was little and did not have hardly any……

“The room itself was clean and worked for our weekend. Was more of a motel setting than a “cabin”. The exterior of the motel building was in need of upgrades, the carpet on the exterior halls was dirty and stained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great as well. Short drive to Rapid and all the attractions.”

“The room was clean. The bathtub did have some soap buildup on it though. The pillows were lumpy and not comfortable. Front desk was helpful. Breakfast had a decent selection. Overall it was okay. Just a place to rest our heads for the night.”

“This is our third stay at Iron Horse and we will keep coming back. We are most impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Paint, carpet, bathroom, etc are all clean and in great working order. The property is clean and well-kept as well. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The Inn is located close to many of the Black Hills attractions. There is a restaurant/bar on site with good food and beverages as well as a few other options in town. The only downside (not much of one) is there is no……

“The staff was wonderful for our 7 day trip! Breakfast was delicious and clean each morning. The only issue we had was the ice machine out of order a few days but there was a baseball tournament that weekend with lots of players staying at the hotel. Didn't bother us. We still enjoyed our trip!”
