Great place to spend a multi-family Thanksgiving! We had eight people including two teenaged boys and everyone was comfortable and had an excellent time. The views from every level were beautiful and the amenities were fantastic Things to prepare for: the beds are very soft and some of the rooms don’t have a lot of air exchange (the downstairs bedroom and theater especially) so they get very heavily affected by the heating/cooling system. Honestly, nothing to really complain about, though! We weren’t able to get a couple of the fireplaces working (on the main floor porch or the downstairs bedroom), but we didn’t ask for help, so it clearly didn’t bother us all that much. The dishwasher and washing machine worked great, even standing up to making a big family meal, and we made some wonderful core memories here. Thanks for the fantastic time and if we come back to the Smoky Mountains, I know we’ll want to come back here!
We had a couple of deer come up and graze just at the foot of the house.
It was a bit cold to enjoy the porches but it was so pretty we couldn’t help ourselves.
The hot tub worked great and was a nice way to spend the evening.
The game room got a lot of attention from the teens.
