“First the positives. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. Parking was fine. I think the problem that I had with Spark is that it's listed as a Hilton facility. This raises expectations. Honestly, it's more like what you would expect from a nice Super-8 than a Hilton. The carpet and furnishings are very bare-bones. The pool is tiny. Breakfast is nothing to write home about. With the exception of two of the staff, most of the staff were just barely cordial. The rooms……

“The continental breakfast was delicious - we loved the blueberry scones! The bikes were a great treat to explore the beautiful area. Val was exceptional.”

“The room was good for a night. However the ac unit in the room was very loud and was making strange noises. Had to get up a lot to adjust to try and stop the noise. And the light from the thermostat stayed on. We had to cover it up to try and get some sleep. Not really a complainer. But hoping it gets fixed for future customers.”

“The check-in staff was helpful and quick. The room was large, clean, and updated. The grounds were well-kept, the pool area was small but well-organized, and the fitness center was one of the largest I’ve ever used in a hotel. The breakfast was good with many hot and cold options. My wife’s only complaint was that the coffee in the lobby wasn’t good. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area again!”

“Grout in the bathroom was dirty and the shower head sucks lol but it’s an old hotel, so it was well kept for the price and age . Very cute”

“Well maintained property. Clean room with great view. Pool and beach were great. Service level was hit or miss maybe because it’s the start of the vacation season. At times the food and beverage service was excellent and other times not so good (long wait for food delivery). My main concern was that every charge I applied to my room for food, beverage or umbrella and chairs on the beach was immediately posted to my bank card. The amount was always more than the actual amount as I was told……

“We cannot tell you how wonderful our experience was! The highlight had to be the concern of the owner and staff for our comfort. So appreciated. Related to the inn itself, everything was perfect! The location, the parking, the size and cleanliness of the room, the amenities, the furnishings, the bathroom, and the...(trumpets!!)... front porch, were all so pleasant! A very memorable stay!”
