“Our stay was a weekend getaway for our 6th anniversary. The cabin was so cozy! It had everything we needed! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. We cooked in the indoor and outdoor kitchen. We used the grill AND pizza oven! The are several ponds on the property full of frogs and fish. There was food available to feed to fish. There were so many Harry Potter touches in the cabinet. The keys in the ceiling were perfect! The large quilt was super comfy. 10/10 recommend!”

“This property is close enough to civilization yet far enough away to unplug, unwind, and relax. The most outstanding feature of the property by far is the porch. Rain or Shine you will spend the majority of your time on the porch. During the day, you relax on the porch, reading, catching up on tv, or just listening to nature. At night you retreat to the basement master suite get into your suit and head for the hot tub which is directly below the porch. You relax in the tub, watch some tv,……

“Everyone was very satisfied with the layout of the house we stayed in. We had two boats and the double carport worked out just fine keeping our boats out of the weather. Just a short drive to the lake and we had our boats on the water. We would recommend this house to anyone needing to stay in the Scottsboro area . If available next year we will be staying there again ! Two things would help new guests coming in would be a picture of the house and a phone number listed for the property manager .”

“We stayed at the property over the Memorial Day weekend of 2024. The directions were accurate and the signage denoting Johnson Lane was greatly appreciated. The home was well appointed, well applied, and the views of the valley below were simply stunning. A number of staple items, including sugar, salt and pepper, paper towels, and garbage bags were available should had we forgotten any of these. The cabin was very comfortable, thoroughly clean, and the Wi-Fi access was a breeze to set up. In……

“Peaceful getaway with only the sounds of the river bubbling and leaves rustling. This property was perfect for a much needed respite. It is both in the middle of no where but also a short drive to the small town of Mentone. The house is beautifully furnished and incredibly well kept. We were there in the spring so the adjacent ski resort and girls camp were empty, but imagine the private property with gate gives you quite a bit of privacy even when they are occupied. “My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days. Hoots Hideaway was just what we needed. Cabin was clean, bed was very comfortable & hot tub was a nice bonus. Address provided took us right to the cabin. We didn’t use any of the cooking utensils, since I wanted a break from that too, but there were plenty of supplies available. Cabin is near Desoto Falls. Will definately be back!”

“The property was exactly as advertised and very well cleaned and maintained. This was my first experience staying in a tiny home and it left a very good first impression. The owners and managers are very attentive and never too far away and just a phone call and message away. It was far enough away from everything to be quiet but not too far. It is only an hour away from Chattanooga, TN, which is where we went for the full day. Mentone, AL is a little town down the street that’s nice to go……
