The owner, Peter, was incredibly helpful and attentive in every way, and even treated us to a real Cretan dinner the last night of our stay. We laughed so much that evening! We went horseback riding at Deres stables outside Chania, we visited Knossos and Heraklion, we spent a day at the Botanical Gardens, and a day at the Old Venetian port in Chania. “We had a lovely stay at this quiet and peaceful traditional house. It was ideally located for us to explore Crete further, and very close to walk to the beach, which was an added bonus. The house is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the Owners were very kind, helpful and hospitable. It would be ideal for a couple who want peace and space, and also a small family. We shall return.”

“We stayed here for 11 nights in June and it was fabulous. We were greeted with a homemade moussaka which was a nice surprise. The property is spacious and the roof terraces (3 of them) were fantastic. The beach is just a pleasant 5 minutes walk (and there's a bar on the way). The owners were friendly and very helpful.”

Die zwei Terassen und die Außendusche runden den Wohlfühlfaktor komplett ab. Wer himmlische Ruhe sucht und trotzdem nicht gänzlich von der Zivilisation abgeschnitten sein möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Dorf in schönster Berglage besticht durch sein angenehmes Klima. “Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Dorfrand von Kontomari, inmitten von Olivenhainen. Es liegt etwas am Hang, so dass man, wenn es mal windet immer einen geschützten Platz findet. Auf der Terasse, von der man auch das Meer sieht, kann man prima ausspannen, grillen etc. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich sehr um das Haus und seine Gäste. "The hotel had a 80s decor and vibe, but the not-so-modern outlook is totally, if not over compensated, by the impeccable service, cleanliness, view at the breakfast restaurant, quality of food, and the ample size of the swimming pools which provide more than enough room for everybody to enjoy. We have had an amazing time there! I paid extra for a side sea view room because the picture looks like a frontal sea view, but it wasn’t, and I probably would not have chosen the same room type next time. "
