「The room was clean although there were ants crawling around. We were led to beleive the restaurant was open as the promotional info claimed they served cajun style food. When we arrived, it turnes out the restaurant hasnt even been built yet and there was also alot of construction going on daily.」

「Mature trees that were dropping mangos everytime the wind blew. Staff stood around, and did not pick up the fruit. Iguanas, squirrels and birds were eating the fruit and leaving a mess. It is a beautiful property with potential, but not for the picky travelers. No hot water in shower or sink, and large ants on the walls in our room.」

「Great pool, nice spot. Small things like no dish-wash soap or dish-sponge etc (when only there for a few days and asked to keep all kitchen items clean etc). Asked for extra towels for pool which were provided & were great. 10min walk to beach / bakery / cafe / sodas. 2 min walk to grocery store. On a busy road. 」

「The breakfast menus consisted of two choices. Both were fine for breakfast that was included. The property needs quite a bit of upkeep. The staff were very friendly. They close the gate around 4-5 pm and a security guard needs to open it for you, not a big inconvenience but just something to keep in mind. The hotel shuts down at 9 pm. 」

「The breakfast was yummy both days that we were there, and the service at the restaurants was top-notch! However, we were disappointed not to have a swimming pool available to use as guests at Santarena Hotel. The rooftop infinity pool was way too small for the number of rooms available. 」
