One of the oldest (and most complete) lighthouses in the entire country, Scituate Lighthouse (or Scituate Light, as it’s locally known), is a historic treasure. Built in 1811 by the federal government, the lighthouse has been a beacon for ships for over 200 years. The lighthouse complex includes the Keeper’s Cottage and Light Tower.
Accessibility: The grounds around the lighthouse are open all year. The tower is open only during occasional open houses.

“Wonderful views, great stay. The living portion of the home was all upstairs and the stairs were difficult for mobility concerned people. Also the driveway was very steep. If you are able bodied, this is an amazing stay. If you have trouble with stairs, this home has some steep ones, and the driveway was steep enough that my car couldn't get back up it until I cleared all the leaves from the driveway. The rooms were very comfortable and the living room had an amazing sunrise view over Cape Code……
