We had a little bit of confusion on arrival as we were supposed to have had a phone call by the agents (not the owner) to tell us the arrival protocol which didn't happen unfortunately, but that was quickly resolved and we were in the property very smoothly considering. The village is small, there is (as noted before) no shops there, the nearest convenience is in Down Thomas which is a mile+ walk/drive up the steep hill and along narrow road, or a Co-Op around 15mins drive away, there is a bar in the village that does do food, but they quickly sell out of space for meals, so if you fancy a meal there, then book (or cook in the apartment on the great oven and hob etc), a full sea view was wonderful, the beach whilst small and rocky was lovely, as were the walks along the coastal paths to Bovisand, Warren Point, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo (via a seasonal ferry or an 11.5 Mile detour when not running) with its many pubs and restaurants etc, as well as continuing paths beyond its well worth yhe hike! We had a wonderful time, and the only reason we didn't give the stay 5 stars all round was due to the hiccup on arrival and the lack of local facilities other than the pub, but it was clean, well appointed, and a very relaxing BH weekend away......thank you!

Fabulous place to stay, even in winter.
Fabulous place to stay, even in winter. The view was always a pleasure to wake up to. The only negative was the difficulty in using the washing machine. It was used every day by the owner, so it was not ours to use at our disposal. It was either full of the owners washing, and it was difficult to get hold of her. It didn't state that it was a shared facility in the write up.

Lovely place in fabulous location.
Lovely place in fabulous location.
Only a village shop in the next village but there is a super pub within walking distance
Not far from the city of Pkymouth but you do need transport.
The walks are amazing on the coast path and through the old live gunnery school HMS Cambridge, now owned by the National Trust.
The owners are great and very dog friendly.

Good location with a great view of the sea.
Good location with a great view of the sea. We took 2 dogs and enjoyed the local walks, beaches etc. Apartment was ok , a few downsides to this place. bed was ok for me. My wife found it uncomfortable though. The electric hob was a pain to get working, temperamental touch buttons. The wi fi stopped working the second day which was annoying but not the end of my world. The dvd took a while to actually work, I nearly gave up on it. The seating , sofa was well used could do with renewing. Lastly the neighbour just let herself in to check on the cat. No knocking or prewarning us, just strolled in, I was gobsmacked.
This doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my time there, I am just being honest. The best bits are the views, the dog friendly pub and we were lucky with the weather.

The location of the apartment can't be beaten, although the local pub is just a short distance there wasn't any noise or disturbance. The coastal walks are all on the doorstep and are fantastic.
A really relaxing holiday that I would recommend to friends.

This lovely apartment was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The view from the lounge was stunning. With walks from the door and a pub which provided excellent food only 100yds away, we had a perfect holiday with our dog.
A well set out annex in a beautiful location. Excellent walks nearby and good food at the local pub.

Outstanding accommodation in a very scenic location .
Outstanding accommodation in a very scenic location . The owners were very accommodating and helpful.
Access to the bay being typical Cornwall takes little learning due to the complex of narrow lanes and the attitude of some locals.
The two pub resturants in close proximity are very good. Planning for provisions (unless you eat out all the time) is essential.
All in all an excellent holiday.

Great apartment with a wonderful view from balcony.
Great apartment with a wonderful view from balcony. Had everything we needed and very comfortable. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Great location for coastal walks. Lacks any local amenities apart from the local pub, which was very good with good food and beer. Overall can very highly recommend.

This is a fantastic cottage overlooking the sea with great coastal walks just outside the property.
This is a fantastic cottage overlooking the sea with great coastal walks just outside the property. A really great pub/restaurant is only about 100m up the hill. The cottage is spacious and has the latest cooking facilities. The double bed is very comfortable and the shower is great. The owners are very friendly. It took us nearly a week to get over not having that cottage view and the coastal walks. But be warned - the roads and walks around here are quite steep - anyone with difficulty walking may struggle.

Just returned from a wonderful break at the Ravine, and missing the fantastic views.
Just returned from a wonderful break at the Ravine, and missing the fantastic views. It is a lovely apartment, clean, modern and well equipped. Going downstairs to bed was a novelty and it was very comfy. It is a very quiet peaceful location and great for walkers, especially if you have a dog. There are some nice places to visit nearby Saltram House, Wembury and Bovisands, our only problem was with the sat nav that tried to send us miles away so take a map.

Lovely accommodation with a beautiful view.
Lovely accommodation with a beautiful view. We were there for 3 nights on a family visiting trip so it was perfect for us.
We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts as were out two dogs.
The nearest shop is in the next village along which may be a problem for some. It's a perfect location for exploring that part of Devon as well as being near the Cornish border.
Would definitely consider a return visit.
