“The bed was sleepable after a night on the razz and it was quiet, shower was ok if a bit basic, the room on the whole wasn’t too bad, but the guy on reception was hard work, probably needs to find a career not in the hospitality industry, and the hotel looks like building site, £54 takes the sting out of it a bit, and that’s the only reason I’d stay there again, but sooner pay an extra couple of quid and stay at chain hotel, saying that, it’s under new management so hopefully a work in……

“The room was good for my one night stay over. Hotel was a a bit tired looking in places. Good for the price though and a delicious cooked to order English breakfast plus a selection of continental items too. Staff friendly.”

“OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. “Upon arrival we were informed that the elevator does not work and we had two suitcases and I was not able to take them up two flights of stairs. Therefore I had to leave my suitcases in my car when I had essential items in there. I needed it. I was very disappointed and they did nothing to accommodate. Full English didn't have standard bacon - it was non pork Turkish bacon which I should have been told about. I only ate half the breakfast, and I was only offered the cooked breakfast (with some fruit and toast). Bed……
